Alright, listen up, y’all. Gonna tell ya ’bout this here… what they call it… “Chimeav versus Costa” fight. Sounds fancy, but it’s just two fellas gonna beat each other up, far as I can tell.
So, there’s this fella, Chimeav. Folks say he ain’t never lost a fight. Tough fella, I reckon. They was gonna have him fight this other fella, Costa, in Abu Dhabi. Way over yonder, I hear.
Now, this Costa fella, he got himself a boo-boo on his elbow. Nasty thing, looked like a hole in his arm, from what I seen on my grandson’s phone. Said it got infected. Somethin’ called “Staph”. Sounds like somethin’ you catch from not washin’ your hands, if you ask me. Anyways, that there boo-boo messed things up. They couldn’t fight no more, not then anyway.
This fight was supposed to be a big deal, see? They called it the “co-main event”. Means it’s important, right before the biggest fight of the night. But with Costa’s elbow all messed up, the whole thing went to pot. They had to find someone else for Chimeav to fight. Poor fella, all trained up and ready to go, and then nothin’. Like bakin’ a pie and nobody showin’ up to eat it.

Heard tell they tried to get that fight together again. Kept sayin’ “UFC 294”. That must be the name of the fight night, or somethin’. But that elbow, it just wouldn’t heal up right. So, no fight. Waste of time, if you ask me. All that talkin’ and trainin’, and for what? Nothin’.
Now, Costa, he’s a talker, that one. Said Chimeav don’t wanna fight tough fellas. Says he wants “easy fights”. Says Chimeav don’t wanna wrestle or grapple or whatever they call it. Just wants to punch, I guess. Sounds like he’s makin’ excuses to me. Maybe he was scared of that Chimeav fella. Can’t blame him, I reckon. That Chimeav looks like he could eat nails for breakfast.
They even got this fella, Dana White, he’s the boss man, I think. He’s the one who tells everyone what’s what. He said Costa was hurt, plain and simple. No fight. End of story. Just like when your cow goes dry, ain’t nothin’ you can do but wait for the next one.
So, now they talkin’ ’bout Chimeav fightin’ someone else. A fella named Whittaker. Another tough one, they say. Used to be a champion. Maybe that’ll be a good fight. But I still wanna see that Chimeav and Costa fight. Gotta see who’s the toughest. Gotta see who’s all talk and who’s got the grit.
Anyways, that’s the story as I heard it. Fighters, infections, and a whole lot of talk. Just hope they get it sorted out and give us a good fight to watch. Nothin’ I like better than watchin’ two fellas go at it. Reminds me of the rooster fights we used to have back in the day. Good times, good times.
In short, this Chimeav versus Costa fight was a bust. Costa’s elbow got messed up, and they couldn’t fight. Now they’re talkin’ about Chimeav fightin’ someone else. We’ll see what happens, I guess. It ain’t over till the fat lady sings, as they say. Though I ain’t never seen no fat lady singin’ at a fight before.
