Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Childe a lot lately, trying to get him to hit those ridiculously satisfying big numbers. I’ve watched a bunch of guides and read a ton of stuff online, but honestly, nothing beats just trying things out yourself, right?
The Hunt Begins
I started by farming the Heart of Depth domain like a madman. I mean, who doesn’t want that sweet Hydro damage bonus? I spent weeks in there, burning through resin like it was going out of style. My inventory was overflowing with artifacts, most of them were trash of course.

Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3
Initially, I was all about that 4-piece Heart of Depth set. I mean, it seemed like the obvious choice, the game even recommends it! I slapped it on him, got some decent crit stats, and… it was okay. The damage was alright, especially after using his skill, but I felt like I could do better, could squeeze out a little more damage.
Then, I started experimenting. I tried mixing 2-piece Heart of Depth with 2-piece Gladiator’s Finale for that extra attack percentage. That bumped up his numbers a bit, not a ton, but noticeably. The normal attack boost after elemental skill with full Heart of Depth set was still pretty good, but after trying out many times, I felt more consistant damage with the mixed set.
- Heart of Depth (4-piece): Felt good, Hydro bonus was nice. Normal attack boost after elemental skill was great.
- Heart of Depth (2-piece) + Gladiator’s Finale (2-piece):Overall damage felt a little better. Less reliance on skill, which was good for longer fights.
The Verdict (For Now!)
Right now, I’m sticking with the 2-piece Heart of Depth and 2-piece Gladiator’s Finale. It just feels more consistent for how I play. I’m still farming, though! Always chasing those perfect crit rolls. Maybe I’ll find something that changes my mind, or maybe a new set will come out. That’s the fun of it, isn’t it? Keep experimenting, guys!
