Okay, so, like, I’ve been messing around with this new factory update, you know, the 1.15 one? And I wanted to share some stuff about the chemical part, specifically part 3. It’s been a bit of a ride, let me tell you.
First off, I jumped into the game, all excited to see what was new. I headed straight to my factory, the one I’ve been building for ages. I’d heard rumors about changes to the chemical recipes, and I was itching to see them for myself.
My Process
- Checked the current setup. Before doing anything else, I took a good look at my existing chemical production. I wanted to see how things were running and where I might run into problems with the update.
- Read the patch notes… kind of. I’ll be honest, I skimmed them. I caught the part about the chemical changes, but I might have missed some details. Whatever.
- Started experimenting. I picked one of the simpler recipes, something basic to get my feet wet. I tried to make it using the old method, just to see what would happen.
- Got confused. Yeah, the old way didn’t work. At all. I spent a good hour just scratching my head, trying to figure out what I was doing wrong.
- Looked at the new recipes. I finally decided to actually look at how the new system works. I found the updated recipes and, well, they were pretty different.
- Redesigned a small section. I decided to tear down a part of my factory and rebuild it based on the new information. It was a bit of a pain, but it was necessary.
- Tested the new setup. I flipped the switch and, surprisingly, it worked! I produced my first batch of chemicals under the new system.
- Expanded the changes. With a working model, I started implementing the changes across my entire chemical production area. It took time, but it was satisfying to see it all come together.
- Optimized. After getting everything running, I spent some time tweaking the layout, making sure everything was as efficient as possible. This part is always fun for me.
So, yeah, that’s basically what I did. It wasn’t smooth sailing, but I eventually got there. The new chemical system is definitely more complex, but it also feels more rewarding once you figure it out. The update changes are pretty major, so I had to rethink a lot of what I was doing. It was a bit frustrating at times, but I managed to adapt and even improve my setup in some ways.
I hope this gives you some idea of what to expect with the new update. It’s definitely a big change, but don’t let it scare you off. Just take your time, experiment, and you’ll get the hang of it. And hey, if you have any questions or get stuck, feel free to ask in the comments. I might just answer them. Maybe.
Oh, one more thing: The new factory update, this was only part 3. What will the part 4 become? I’m looking forward to it.
