Alright, so I wanted to dig into the operator pick rates for Rainbow Six Siege in Y9S1. I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter online about who’s getting picked and who’s getting left behind, so I figured, why not do my own little investigation?
First, I needed to decide how I was going to track this stuff. I thought about just jumping into a bunch of matches and keeping a tally, but that seemed… inefficient. Plus, my handwriting is atrocious, so that was a no-go.
Then it hit me – I could probably scrape this data. I messed around a few websites. There are official stats pages, but sometimes getting the raw numbers is a pain.
My Process
- Start Playing and Observing:I Played around ten Ranked matches. And I Keeping a sharp eye on which operators were consistently chosen by both my team and the opponents.
- Jotting Down Notes:After Each match, I quickly wrote down my observations. Who was picked every single time? Who was totally ignored? I noted which operators were popular on specific maps or in certain situations.
- Cross-Referencing : Compare my findings with some well-known Siege content creators or community * if my observations aligned with the general consensus.
Honestly, it’s still a work in progress. This is just raw data from a handful of matches, so it’s not exactly scientific. I’m seeing some clear trends, though. Certain operators, like Ace and Ash, I have seen them picked a lot. They’re just so strong right now.
I’m going to keep refining this. Maybe I’ll build a simple spreadsheet to track everything better. It’s a fun little side project, and it’s helping me think more strategically about my own operator choices, too.
