Today, I want to share my experience with farming Echoes in Wuthering Waves. I’ve been grinding this game a lot lately, and let me tell you, the Echo system is something else.
First off, I started by focusing on my main character, Changli. I read somewhere that she’s a beast with the right build, so I wanted to give her the best Echoes possible. I spent hours just running around, taking down those 3-cost enemies in my world. It felt like I was doing nothing else, but hey, I was determined.
- I spent hours just running around, taking down those 3-cost enemies in my world.
- I kept at it, day in and day out.
- I joined other players’ worlds, hopping from one to another.
My Data Bank level was pretty low at first, so I was mostly getting 4-star Echoes. Not bad, but I knew I needed those 5-star ones for the real power boost. I kept at it, day in and day out. Every level I gained in the Data Bank felt like a small victory, getting me closer to those shiny 5-star drops.
Then, I started joining other players’ worlds, hopping from one to another. I figured, more worlds, more chances, right? It was a bit of a hassle, but it did seem to speed things up. I was swimming in Echoes, even if most of them weren’t exactly what I wanted.
I learned that each character has a Cost limit for their Echoes, and it’s tied to your Data Bank level. The max is 12, which you unlock at level 9. So, I was aiming for that magic number, trying to equip a mix of 4-cost, 3-cost, and 1-cost Echoes to maximize my setup.
Build Plan
Someone mentioned that Changli benefits a lot from CRIT DMG, especially with her s2 that boosts CRIT RATE. I haven’t gotten her s2 yet, but it’s definitely something I’ll keep in mind. The usual setup I see people running is one 4-cost, two 3-cost, and two 1-cost Echoes. I tried that out, and it felt pretty solid.
There’s also this whole debate about changing up the cost order and not using Inferno Rider as the main Echo, especially if you have good ATK% 3-cost ones. Honestly, I’m still figuring that part out. Farming for specific stats is a real pain, and I’m not sure if I want to spend even more hours on it. But hey, who knows, maybe I will come to like it.
Right now, I’m just happy to have a decent set of Echoes on Changli. It’s not perfect, but it’s a good start. I can finally start tackling some of the tougher content in the game, and that’s what matters most. This whole Echo farming thing is a grind, no doubt, but it’s also kind of satisfying when you finally see the results. And that is all for today, maybe next time, I will make some progress in this.
