Okay, so, I was trying to get through this barrier thing in Genshin Impact the other day. You know, those annoying blue force fields that block you from all the good stuff? I swear I spent hours running around like a headless chicken trying to figure it out.
First, I wandered around the area, looking for clues. I mean, there had to be a switch or something nearby, right? I scoured every nook and cranny, climbed up every hill, and even dove into a few ponds, but nada. Zilch. Nothing.
Then I remembered something about a quest called “Tatara Tales” that supposedly helped with breaking barriers. So, I tracked down these two NPCs, Toranosuke and Miyuki, at some Kujou Encampment place. It’s on Kannazuka island, by the way. Talking to them kickstarted the quest chain.
- Find Toranosuke and Miyuki at the Kujou Encampment.
- Start the “Tatara Tales” quest.
But even after starting the quest, I was still stumped. I re-read the quest description a million times, talked to every NPC in sight, and even tried whacking the barrier with my sword (don’t judge, I was desperate). Still nothing.
The Rust-Worn Key
Finally, I stumbled upon a forum post that mentioned something about a “Rust-Worn Key.” Apparently, you need this key to unlock a gate near the barrier. And where do you find this key? At the bottom of a well in Konda Village. So, I sprinted over to Konda, found the well, and jumped right in.
- Head back to Konda Village.
- Locate the well behind the old man’s house.
- Dive into the well and retrieve the Rust-Worn Key.
Sure enough, there it was. I grabbed the key, swam back up, and raced back to the barrier. There was a gate nearby that was locked, and guess what? The Rust-Worn Key opened it right up. I went inside, and bam! There was the mechanism to disable the barrier, along with a shiny Oculus. I interacted with it, and poof! The barrier was gone, and I could finally explore the area. What a relief!
Anyway, that’s my story of how I finally managed to get through that darn barrier in Genshin. It was a real pain, but I learned a lot along the way. Hopefully, my experience can help some of you out there who are struggling with the same thing.
