Alright, so you wanna know if that young fella, Bobby Witt Jr., is hitched, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I heard. They say he’s gettin’ hitched, or maybe already did, to some gal named Maggie Black.
Hear tell he’s a big deal baseball player, plays for the Kansas City Royals. Folks call him a shortstop, whatever that means. Sounds fancy, but at the end of the day, it’s just hittin’ a ball and runnin’ around, ain’t it? Just like them youngins doin’ in the pasture, ‘cept they get paid a whole heap more, I reckon.

Anyways, these two young’uns, they been together a while. Maggie’s got pictures of ’em, way back from Christmas 2016. Young love, they call it. Makes an old woman like me remember my own courtin’ days. Though things were a whole lot different back then, let me tell ya.
They say Bobby had a good year playin’ that baseball. MVP finalist, whatever that is. Sounds important. Maybe he bought Maggie a nice ring with all that money. A big sparkly one, I bet. And this Bobby fella, he used to play somethin’ called third base, then they moved him to shortstop. Don’t ask me why, seems like the same thing to me. Just movin’ from one spot to another, like them chickens in the coop, always fussin’ and movin’ around.
