Okay, so, I’ve been playing this game, “Black Myth: Wukong,” and I gotta say, it’s been a wild ride. The whole dying thing got me real curious. I mean, what happens when you kick the bucket in this game?
First off, I started by playing through the game. I was exploring, fighting monsters, you know, the usual stuff. I kept pushing forward, getting deeper into the game, until I hit my first big roadblock. This boss, man, it was tough. I tried everything I could, but it kept beating me down. After dying a few times, I started to notice a pattern.
Every time I died, I woke up at the last Shrine I’d visited. These Shrines, they’re kinda like checkpoints. It was a relief, to be honest. I didn’t lose any of the stuff I’d collected, which was a huge plus. But, here’s the catch: all those enemies I’d taken out? They were back. Every single one of them. It was like starting that whole section over again. I was like, “Are you kidding me?”
So, I tried different approaches. I went in guns blazing, I tried sneaking around, I even tried running past everything. But dying always had the same result. Back to the Shrine, enemies respawned. It got me thinking, “What’s the real punishment here?” And then it hit me. The punishment isn’t losing your stuff. It’s having to redo everything. It is about time I lost.
- Exploring the game: I started by just playing the game, going through different areas.
- Fighting enemies: I fought a bunch of enemies, trying to get past them.
- Dying: I died a lot, especially to bosses.
- Respawning at Shrines: Every time I died, I came back to life at the last Shrine I’d visited.
- Enemies respawning: All the enemies I’d killed came back to life too.
- Realizing the punishment: I figured out that the real punishment is having to redo sections of the game.
It’s kinda frustrating, but also, it makes you think more carefully about how you play. You can’t just rush in blindly. You gotta plan your moves, learn the enemy patterns, and be more strategic. And you know what? It made the game more satisfying when I finally beat a tough section.
This “Black Myth: Wukong”, it’s not just about hacking and slashing. It’s about learning from your mistakes and getting better. And the whole dying and respawning thing? It’s a big part of that. Also, I heard someone mentioned about “Erlang Shen” and “Journey to the West” and “xianxia and wuxia”. It sounds cool. Maybe it’s a hint from the game’s background. I should check it out. I also found that someone discussed killing himself to break free, it seems not a bad idea to get better.
Anyway, that’s my take on the whole “punishment for death” in “Black Myth: Wukong.” It’s a bit of a pain, but it makes the game what it is. It seems that the developer wants to tell a dark story based on Chinese mythology. I look forward to experiencing it.
