Alright, so I wanted to mess around with this “morphic pool” thing in Baldur’s Gate 3. I’d heard some chatter online about it, and, well, I’m a sucker for anything that sounds even remotely mysterious in a game this big. I figured, why not dive in and see what all the fuss is about?
First things first, I had to actually find the darn thing. I’d already sunk a good chunk of hours into the game, exploring every nook and cranny I could find, but this one had me stumped for a bit. I did some digging – y’know, the usual forums and Reddit threads – and finally pieced together where I needed to be.
So, I loaded up my save, fast-traveled to the closest waypoint I had unlocked near the area, and started hoofing it. It was a bit of a trek, I won’t lie. Had to fight off a few nasty critters along the way, but hey, that’s all part of the fun, right?
Eventually, I found the entrance. It was kind of hidden, tucked away behind some rocks and overgrown foliage. Honestly, if I hadn’t been actively looking for it, I probably would have walked right past it.
Getting Down to Business
Once I was inside, things got… interesting. The atmosphere was definitely different. Kind of eerie, with this weird, pulsing glow all around. I cautiously moved forward, my hand on my weapon, just in case.
I encountered some… let’s just call them “unusual” characters. We had a little chat – well, as much of a chat as you can have with creatures that look like they crawled out of a nightmare. But I managed to get some information out of them, and it pointed me towards what I needed to do next.
Without spoiling too much, it involved finding some specific items and then performing a little ritual. Nothing too complicated, just a bit of running around and clicking on things in the right order. The items themselves were scattered around the area, so I had to do some more exploring. Some were hidden in chests, some were just lying around, and I think I even had to pry one out of the cold, dead hands of a… well, let’s just say it wasn’t pretty.
The Payoff
After I gathered everything and did the ritual, it happens. Let me be vague and say that I was not disappointed. I had not encountered any bugs during the whole process.I was able to use the pool.
It was worth the effort. I got my characters to the pool and the events that are supposed to happen, did.
I will explore more on what I can do exactly after.
