Zero, what’s that? Like, nothin’? Yeah, nothin’ at all. Apex, that’s some kinda game, right? All the young’uns are playin’ it. Sense? Like common sense? Well, lemme tell ya somethin’ about this Apex and sense. This whole thing, it’s a mess, I tell ya. Gotta have the right stuff, they say. Make sure ya got it right.
My grandson, he’s always yellin’ about his sense bein’ too high or too low. He’s always fiddlin’ with it. He told me once that for this Apex, ya gotta have it just right. He said something about 25 to 35, whatever that means. He calls it “cm/360”. I don’t know what that is, but he seems to know. Just pick somethin’ in the middle, like 30, he says. He said that’s the average. You young’uns and your numbers. He just start using 30, see how it’s going. Whatever.
- 25 to 35 somethin’, that’s what they say is good.
- Start with 30, just like pickin’ a number outta a hat.
- See how it goes, like seein’ if the crops are gonna grow.
He’s always talkin’ about his DPI and his resolution. Sounds like a disease to me! And somethin’ about a monitor. He’s got a fancy one. Big as a barn door. He got a mouse, too. He always clicks that thing like a chicken pecking seeds. And his keyboard, clackin’ away all day and night. I told him, “Boy, you gonna wear that thing out!”
He tried to explain it to me once. Said it’s all about how fast that little thing on the screen moves. He moves his hand a little, and that thing on the screen goes flyin’. He says if it’s too fast, he can’t aim. If it’s too slow, he gets shot. Always gettin’ shot in that game. I swear, kids these days and their violent games.
This other boy, they call him a “pro“. He’s like a hero or somethin’. My grandson watches him all the time on that internet thing. He must be good or somethin’. He’s got all the best stuff, too. Fancy mouse, fancy keyboard, all of it. My grandson, he wants to be just like him. He is a good player, I think. He plays a lot. I don’t know, this pro guy, he is something else, I guess.
They got all these numbers, these settings. It’s all so complicated. Back in my day, we just played outside. We didn’t need no fancy sense or DPI or whatever. We just had fun. But I guess times are changin’. These young folks, they all glued to their screens these days.
This Apex sense, it’s important, I guess. Gotta have it just right to be good at the game. My grandson, he’s always tryin’ to find the perfect one. He says there are some “best” ones. He’s always lookin’ for the best stuff. Best monitor, best mouse, best keyboard, best everything. He wants the best Apex Legends settings.
- Best sense, they say it makes you good.
- Best gear, like havin’ the best plow for your field.
- Best somethin’ else, always gotta be the best.
He keeps talkin’ about this zero Apex sense. Says it’s the best. Like havin’ nothin’ at all, but somehow that makes you better. I don’t understand it. Seems like a lot of nothin’ to me. But he says it’s important. He says lots of pros use it. Those pros, they know what they’re doin’, I guess.
He says this zero thing, it makes it so you gotta move your whole arm. Sounds like a lot of work to me. He says it makes you more accurate or somethin’. Like shootin’ a squirrel with a slingshot, I reckon. Gotta be precise. But you gotta find your “endgame sens”, whatever that is.
I don’t know. All these words. Just seems like a whole lot of fuss over a game. But the young’uns love it. They spend hours playin’ it. And they all talk about this sense and this DPI and all that. It’s a whole different world, I tell ya. I just hope he doesn’t spend all his money on that stuff. Better than some things, I guess. Keeps him outta trouble. Most of the time, anyway.
Well, I gotta go. Need to tend to my garden. These tomatoes ain’t gonna pick themselves. Just remember what I said about that zero Apex sense. Might be somethin’ to it, might not. Just like plantin’ seeds, gotta see what grows. These young’uns and their games. It’s all a mystery to me.
