Alright, let’s talk about something I messed around with recently – Genji skins in Overwatch 2. You know, gotta keep your favorite cyborg ninja looking fresh. So, I spent some time digging around and trying out different looks for our boy Genji.
First off, I started by checking out what other players were saying. I mean, who knows better than the people who actually play him, right? I saw a lot of love for the Oni skin. Apparently, it got like 424 votes somewhere, which is pretty nuts. It’s a Legendary skin, and I gotta say, it does look badass. That demonic mask and the red color scheme? Dope.

Then I moved on to testing some of these skins myself. I hopped into a few competitive matches to see how they felt in action. I tried out the Sparrow Genji skin, which is a classic, and of course, the Oni Genji. These were mentioned as some of the top picks for competitive play, so I figured I’d give ’em a shot.
Some people were talking about how the “top tier” skins are all flashy and stuff. I don’t know, I kinda like the flashy ones, but to each their own. I even saw someone say that the Streetrunner skin is their number one pick. Personally, I’m not so sure about that one, but hey, it’s all about what you like.
I also messed around with some other skins that caught my eye. There’s this one called Ice Wraith, and when you pair it with a golden weapon, it looks pretty sick. I don’t know if it’s an unpopular opinion, but I thought it was kinda cool.
- Tried out Oni – Definitely lives up to the hype.
- Gave Sparrow a go – A solid choice, but maybe not as flashy as I wanted.
- Experimented with Ice Wraith – Surprisingly cool with the golden weapon combo.
After all that testing, I gotta say, picking the “best” Genji skin is tough. It really comes down to your personal preference. But if you’re looking for some recommendations, I’d say Oni is a safe bet if you want something that looks intimidating and awesome. Sparrow is great if you prefer a more classic look. And if you want something a little different, maybe give Ice Wraith a try.
At the end of the day, it’s all about finding the skin that makes you feel like a total ninja badass. So go out there, try some different looks, and find the one that’s right for you! Just don’t be surprised if I see you rocking that Oni skin on the battlefield, I might have to do it myself.
All in all, it was a fun time figuring out all this stuff, and I hope what I did and wrote down is helpful to you guys.
