Alright, so I’ve been grinding away at this new “Divergent Universe” mode in Honkai: Star Rail, and let me tell you, it’s been a wild ride. You see, I’m not one for following the meta or anything. I like to experiment, figure things out on my own, and see what kind of crazy team comps I can come up with. This new mode, it just throws so many curveballs at you, it’s perfect for a tinkerer like me.
So, first things first, I had to unlock this thing. Turns out, you just need to beat World 3 in the Simulated Universe. No biggie, right? I’ve already beaten that many times. Then I found this “Stranger in a Strange Land” Trailblaze Mission in Penacony, I thought it might help with the whole story, so I did that too.
Once I was in, the real fun began. I spent hours, days even, just diving into this Divergent Universe. The enemies are so strong and have so many strange abilities. It was rough at first, I had a hard time beating the basic stage, not to mention the advanced stages. The Ascended boss, for example, she’s a real pain. She can just spam that “minus max health” move like there’s no tomorrow. I tried to brute force through with my usual team, but it’s not working. Then there’s Yanqing as the second boss, who can take down tanks even without Berserk state. And the final boss, the Heliobus, well, let’s just say I got wiped more times than I care to admit.
After a while, I started to pay more attention to the “Equations” thing in the game. It’s like, special buffs you can choose for your team. So I started messing around with those. There’s one called “City Restorer,” which sounds pretty cool. It’s all about shields and freezing enemies, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
I started building teams around these Equations, trying out different characters and seeing what worked. One day, I stumbled upon this combination that just clicked. I’m not gonna lie, it felt pretty darn good to finally see some progress. I managed to clear some of the harder stages, and even got close to beating that pesky Heliobus a couple of times.
Then I saw online that some people were talking about how hard the “Threshold Protocol VI” is in Divergent Universe. And someone even mentioned that you can beat it with Xueyi, just like how they beat “conundrum 12 gold and gears” with her last time. I thought, “Hey, I like Xueyi, let me try this out!”
So I started grinding again, this time with a specific goal in mind. I used Xueyi and some other characters that I thought would synergize well with her and the “City Restorer” Equation. It took a while, a lot of trial and error, a lot of getting my butt kicked, but I finally did it. I beat “Threshold Protocol VI!”
It was tough, no doubt, but it was also incredibly satisfying. I mean, who needs the meta when you can just figure stuff out yourself, right? This whole experience has really shown me that there’s so much depth to this game, so many possibilities. I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface, and I can’t wait to see what other crazy team comps I can come up with in the future.
So, yeah, that’s my story with the Divergent Universe so far. It’s been a blast, and I’m definitely not done with it yet. If you’re into Honkai: Star Rail and like a good challenge, I highly recommend checking it out. Just be prepared to experiment, to fail, and to eventually, hopefully, succeed. It’s all part of the fun!
