Okay, here’s my blog post about my experience building the best Cordelius build, written in a casual, personal style:
So, I’ve been diving deep into Cordelius lately, trying to figure out what makes this character tick. I mean, really tick. I wanted the best build, the one that would let me dominate. And let me tell you, it’s been a journey!

First, I started by just playing him, you know? Just getting a feel for his moves, his range, his Super. I spent hours just messing around, trying different things. Died a lot, ngl. I got absolutely wrecked by some other players. I’m pretty sure one of them was using this crazy build I saw online. Looked it up, thought about copying, but, nah, I wanted to figure this thing out MY way.
Experiment Time!
Then came the experimenting phase. This is where things got interesting… and messy. I started swapping out Gadgets and Star Powers like crazy. Here’s a glimpse of my testing grounds:
- Gadget Testing: Started using the first one, it was pretty good, but didn’t like the damage. So, I tested the second one. WOW, that was fun. But was it GOOD? Keep testing.
- Star Power Swap-a-roo: Okay, both Star Powers are pretty solid, but which one synergizes better? More matches, more deaths, more wins, MORE DATA.
- Gears Tryout: I put on damage gear, speed gear and sheild gear, after playing games with all of the different styles. I really think I’ve figured out.
After countless matches (seriously, I lost count), and a whole lot of trial and error, I finally started to see a pattern. Some combinations just clicked. Others? Not so much. It was like putting together a puzzle, except the puzzle pieces kept changing shape.
Finally, I started to zero in on what I felt was the “best” build. It’s a combination that maximizes his strengths, minimizes his weaknesses, and just feels right to play.
I landed on using the second Gadget, and the first Star Power. The mobility and surprise factor are just too good to pass up. For Gears, I went with Damage and Shield. It gives him that extra bit of survivability and allows me to play aggressively.
So, there you have it – my personal journey to the best Cordelius build. It’s not just about the stats; it’s about how it feels to play. And this build? It feels pretty darn good.
