Today, let’s talk about something a bit different, something that happened back in my wrestling days. It involves Batista and Melina, and it’s a story that’s been talked about a lot, so I figured I’d share my side of it.
It all started during my time with WWE. Melina and I were both working there. I was good friends with her then-boyfriend, John Morrison. They were together for a long time, from around 2003 to 2015, I think. Anyway, Melina and I got along well, too. We worked together, traveled together, the usual stuff you do when you’re on the road that much.
Now, there were rumors going around about me and Melina. People saw us hanging out, laughing, and started assuming things. I was World Champion at that time, and Melina was managing, and later she managed Nitro and Mercury. We had an angle where she helped them retain their championships, and that involved us being physically close. I guess that added fuel to the fire.
- It started innocently enough. We were friends, colleagues.
- Then, there was this angle we were doing, and it required us to be, well, closer than usual.
- People started talking, rumors started flying.
Here’s the thing, though. Melina was with John, and even after they split up, she was pretty open about everything with him. She told him what was up. I heard there was also some flirting going on between Batista and Dana Brooke on Twitter, but that’s a whole other story.
Fast forward a bit, Melina left WWE, retired in 2022, I heard. She started keeping her personal life more private after that. There was talk about her coming back in 2020, but it didn’t happen. She did make a brief appearance in 2021, though.
Anyway, that’s my take on the whole Batista and Melina situation. It was a mix of work, rumors, and personal lives getting tangled up. Just another day in the crazy world of professional wrestling, I guess.
I decided to look into it more. I read a few articles, saw some interviews. It’s interesting how things get twisted and turned over time. But, you know, that’s the nature of the internet and gossip, right?
At the end of the day, we were all just people trying to do our jobs and live our lives. It’s just that our jobs happened to be in the public eye, under a lot of scrutiny. It’s all in the past now, though. Everyone’s moved on, doing their own thing.
