Okay, so I finally decided to tackle all the Wyll endings in Baldur’s Gate 3. I’d heard there were a few variations, and, well, I’m a completionist, so I had to see them all for myself. Let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey!
First Playthrough – The “Good” Wyll
My first time through, I played Wyll pretty straight. I mean, I made all the “good” choices I thought he’d make. You know:

- Rescued everyone I could.
- Helped the Tieflings.
- Was generally a nice guy.
- And of course, broke his pact with Mizora.
This seemed like the obvious path, at least initially. At the end, with his pact broken, his dad was saved, and he decided to go to Avernus, he wants to be The Blade of Avernus. Pretty heroic, felt good, standard stuff.
Second Attempt – Embracing the Avernus
Second time around, I was curious about the whole “stay in Avernus” thing. I did the whole save daddy thing, and I played like a good guy. I did the thing that broke his pact, and at the end, he still became The Blade of Avernus, no difference for this ending. Nothing really changes.
Third Try – Full-On Devil Wyll
Okay, so here’s where things got interesting. This time, I decided to go full-on devil. I mean, Wyll was going to:
- Keep his pact.
- Make all the selfish choices.
I wanted to see what would happen. I didn’t break the contract, I mean, and his dad, oops!, dead. He turned into a lemure. I did some pretty bad things, to see, well, if I get any different endings. But at the end, nope! Wyll got the same endings like before!
The Conclusion?
Honestly, it was a little surprising that there are really no big changes. The Wyll endings are basically the same, and there is no big change for the endings. It’s still great, and I’ll keep playing!
