Okay, so I’ve been messing around with some AI art stuff, specifically trying to get a cool splash art look for an Aurora character. I wanted to show you guys the before and after, and the whole process I went through. It’s kinda rough, but that’s the fun part, right?
First Attempts (The “Before”)
I started out just throwing some basic prompts into the AI generator. Stuff like “Aurora, fantasy, magical girl, glowing”. You know, the usual suspects. The results? Well, let’s just say they were… interesting.

- The first few tries, the character looked kinda generic. No real personality.
- The colors were all over the place. No real theme, just random splashes of brightness.
- The poses were stiff, like she was posing for a school photo, not battling evil.
It was pretty clear I needed to be way more specific. I was getting these flat, kinda boring images. They were okay, but nothing that screamed “epic splash art.”
Getting Specific (The Tweaking)
So, I started digging into more detailed prompts. Instead of just “glowing,” I went with things like “iridescent glowing hair,” “shimmering magical aura,” “dynamic pose, casting a spell.” I also started playing with art styles. I added stuff like “splash art style,” “concept art,” “dramatic lighting.”
I spent, I don’t even know how many attempts, just tweaking things little by little.
- Changed “magical girl” to “sorceress with celestial powers.”
- Instead of just “fantasy,” I added details like “floating islands in the background,” “shattered moon fragments.”
It made the process much more interesting.
The “After” (Finally!)
After a lot of trial and error, I finally started getting somewhere. The images were becoming way more dynamic. The colors were more cohesive, with a nice blend of blues, purples, and golds. The poses were more action-packed, like she was actually in the middle of a fight.
The character looked way more powerful and interesting. The background elements started to actually look like a proper scene, not just random shapes. It really felt like I was finally creating a character with a story, not just a pretty picture.
It’s still not perfect, of course. There’s always room for improvement. But comparing the “before” and “after” images, the difference is huge. It just shows how much impact those little tweaks in the prompts can have. It’s all about experimenting and finding what works. Keep messing around, and you’ll eventually get something awesome!
