Okay, so I’ve been playing Arknights for a while now, and one thing that always bugged me was figuring out which Operators are actually good. I mean, there are so many of them! So, I decided to finally make my own Arknights tier list. It was a bit of a journey, let me tell you.
First, I started by just playing the game. I mean, that’s the obvious first step, right? I tried out different Operators, experimented with team compositions, and generally just got a feel for how things worked. I quickly realized that some Operators I initially thought were awesome were actually kinda meh, and vice versa.

My DIY Tier List Process
Then, I dove into the online community. I checked out some existing tier lists, read guides, and watched some videos. It was helpful to get other people’s opinions, but I also found that a lot of the lists disagreed with each other, or didn’t really explain why certain Operators were ranked the way they were.
So, I decided to get organized. I made a spreadsheet (yeah, I’m that kind of person). I listed all the Operators I had, and then I started categorizing them. I didn’t just want to slap them into “S-tier,” “A-tier,” etc. I wanted to actually understand their strengths and weaknesses.
- I started by looking at their stats, of course. Attack, defense, HP… all that good stuff.
- Then I considered their skills. Some skills are amazing for clearing out waves of weak enemies, while others are better for taking down bosses.
- I also thought about their deployment cost. Some Operators are super powerful, but if they cost a ton to deploy, you might not be able to use them effectively.
- I also considered their range, some are good at long range, some are just good for short range.
It was a slow process. I spent hours tweaking my list, moving Operators up and down based on my experiences in the game and the new things. I learned. I even went back and replayed some older stages with different team setups, just to test out specific Operators.
Finally, I had something I was pretty happy with. It’s not perfect, and I’m sure other people will disagree with some of my choices, but it’s my tier list, based on my experiences. And that’s what really matters, I think. It feels good to have finally organized my thoughts on all these Operators!
