Alright, so the other day, I got totally sucked into this documentary, “American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes.” I’d heard about it on the website and, man, I just had to check it out. I mean, I’ve always been a fan of wrestling and the whole drama of it all, so this was right up my alley.
So, I started watching it, and it’s all about Cody Rhodes, this professional wrestler. The whole thing starts with him leaving WWE, which I remember was a big deal at the time. I kind of fell out of the loop with wrestling for a bit, so I didn’t follow everything super closely, but I remember hearing about it.
Getting into the documentary
- First Impressions: Right from the start, I was hooked. The way they set up the story, talking about Cody’s history and all that, it really grabbed me.
- The WWE Departure: This part was fascinating. They showed all these clips of him wrestling these huge names, like Randy Orton, The Miz, and even Rey Mysterio. The guy’s got talent, no doubt about it. But you could see there was something brewing, like he wasn’t totally happy. Seeing his skills on display made it even more intriguing.
- Going Deeper: I started to realize there was way more to this story than I thought. It wasn’t just about a wrestler leaving a company. There was a lot of emotion, lots of behind-the-scenes stuff that I never knew about. This made me eager to see where it would go.
- The Journey: After he left WWE, they show how he started doing his own thing, and how his popularity is high. It’s kind of crazy to see how much can change in just a few years. This part showed me the ups and downs of his career after leaving WWE.
- Aha! Moment: This documentary really made me think about how sometimes, you have to take a big risk to really find out what you’re made of. It was kind of inspiring, to be honest.
After watching the whole thing, I was just sitting there, thinking about everything. It was more than just a documentary about wrestling. It was about following your gut, even when it’s scary, and making your own path. I finished it feeling pretty pumped up, I’ll tell ya that.
