Okay, so, I’ve been diving deep into this “Wuthering Waves” game lately, and there’s this quest called “Lores Beyond the Ranges” that I finally got around to tackling. It’s in this area called Mt. Firmament, which, by the way, is a pain to navigate, but that’s a story for another time. This quest popped up in the second half of the 1.1 version, and it’s all about helping these two characters, Xinyi and Qianyue, with some drama going down in Hongzhen.
Started this quest because I figured it was time. I mean, I completed Changli’s Companion Story quest, which, for some reason, is the key to unlocking this one. I completed Chapter 1 – Act 7 of the main quest a long time ago. So yeah, “Thaw of Eons” was done and dusted. Went ahead and jumped to the spot marked on the map in Hongzhen to trigger the quest. Boom, cutscene time.
Getting Started
First off, I found out this whole quest is tied to the “Lament,” which is basically the big, bad event that messed up the world of Solaris-3. It’s all hush-hush on the details, but you can tell it was a doozy. They keep it mysterious, you know?
- Headed to Hongzhen: This is where it all starts. You get a cutscene that sets things up with Xinyi and Qianyue.
- Talked to the locals: Got the scoop on what’s been happening. Apparently, there are two incidents that are the talk of the town.
Digging Deeper
So, after getting the lowdown from the cutscene, I started running around, talking to folks, and piecing together what these two incidents were all about. It felt like being a detective, but with more monsters and less paperwork.
- Investigated Incident One: This involved some shady stuff. Had to track down clues, which were scattered all over the place. Honestly, it was a bit of a scavenger hunt. Found some hidden notes and even had to fight off a few random mobs that got in my way. Classic.
- Investigated Incident Two: This one was weirder. It was less about fighting and more about figuring out puzzles. There was this old mechanism that I had to get working. Took me a while to figure out the sequence, but I got it eventually. Felt pretty smart for a minute there.
Wrapping Up
After all that running around, fighting, and puzzle-solving, I finally got to the bottom of things. Reported back to Xinyi and Qianyue, and they were pretty grateful. Got some rewards, which was nice. I won’t spoil the ending, but let’s just say things got wrapped up pretty neatly.
All in all, “Lores Beyond the Ranges” was a decent quest. It had a good mix of story and action, and it was cool to learn more about the Lament and how it messed things up. If you’re playing “Wuthering Waves,” I’d say give it a shot. Just make sure you’ve done Changli’s Companion Story quest first, or you won’t even get to start this one. Happy gaming!
