Alright, let’s talk about this Serena gal and that Alexis fella. I heard tell they’re a big deal, him and her, like them fancy folks you see on TV. Don’t know much about tennis, but I reckon she’s good at it, real good. And him, he made somethin’ called Reddit, whatever that is. Sounds like a bug killer to me, ha!
So, how’d these two lovebirds get together? Well, it all started in Rome, Italy. Yep, Rome! Not some fancy-pants Hollywood party, but plain ol’ Rome. They were eatin’ breakfast, see, just mindin’ their own business, and bam! They sat next to each other. Just goes to show, ya never know where you’ll meet your someone. Could be at the grocery store, could be at church, could even be in Rome eatin’ breakfast. Fate, I tell ya, fate!
That was back in 2015. May, they say. Springtime, when the flowers are bloomin’ and the birds are singin’. Romantic, huh? I bet they had some good pasta there. I love pasta. Makes me think of my Tony, God rest his soul. He used to make the best pasta sauce…
Anyways, back to Serena and Alexis. They dated for a while, you know, like young folks do. Courtin’, I guess you could call it. He probably took her to some fancy places, places I ain’t never even heard of. But you know what? Doesn’t matter how fancy the place is, as long as the company’s good. And seems like they had good company.
- They got hitched in 2017: New Orleans, no less! That’s down south, right? Hot and humid, I hear. But they looked happy as clams in them weddin’ pictures. Big smiles, all sparkly and whatnot. November 16th, to be exact. Seven years they been married now! Seven years! That’s a long time in this day and age.
- They got kids: Two of ‘em, last I heard. Little girl named Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. Named after her daddy, I guess. And then they had another one just last year, 2023, they say. Don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl, but a baby’s a blessin’ either way. Kids are a handful, let me tell ya, but they’re worth it. They fill your life with joy, and noise, mostly noise, ha!
Alexis, he’s a bit younger than Serena. She’s 43 now, and he’s 41. Not a big difference, but enough to make a fuss about, I guess, if you’re the fussin’ type. He was born in Brooklyn, that’s in New York City. Big city, lots of tall buildin’s and busy people. His daddy was Armenian, and his mama was German. A real mix, just like them fancy salads they serve at the country club. He even spoke German when he was little. Fancy, huh?
They seem like a good pair, them two. He’s all businessy and techy, and she’s all athletic and strong. They balance each other out, like salt and pepper, or coffee and cream. He posts sweet things about her on the internet, and she smiles real big when she’s with him. Makes an old lady’s heart happy, seein’ young folks in love.
So there ya have it, the story of Serena and Alexis. Not much to it, really. Just two people who met, fell in love, and built a life together. Just like folks have been doin’ since the beginnin’ of time. Doesn’t matter if you’re a tennis star or a Reddit fella, love is love, and family is family. And that’s all that matters in the end.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make myself a cup of tea. All this talkin’ has made my throat dry.
