Okay, so I’ve been hooked on Stardew Valley again lately. It’s just so relaxing, you know? Anyway, I decided I needed to catch an Albacore for one of the bundles. I’d kind of forgotten where and when to find them, so I had to do a little refresher.
Gotta Find the Ocean!
First things first, I headed to the beach. Albacore are ocean fish, so that was a no-brainer. I made sure my fishing rod was ready, and I even bought some bait from Willy’s shop. I wasn’t sure if it was totally necessary, but hey, every little bit helps, right?

Timing is Everything
The next thing I remembered was that Albacore are only around during certain seasons and times. You can only catch them in the Fall and Winter. As for the time of day, I knew I had a pretty wide window: between 6 AM and 11 AM, and then again from 6 PM to 2 AM.
I checked my in-game clock. It was Fall, and the time was around 8 AM. Perfect! I found a good spot on the beach, cast my line, and waited.
The Waiting Game (and a Little Luck)
- Cast the line, wait for a bite…
- Reel it in… seaweed. Ugh.
- Cast again… another bite!
- This one felt different… Could it be?
- YES! Finally caught an Albacore!
It took a few tries, and I caught a bunch of other fish in the process (some sardines, a couple of herrings – the usual), but I finally got one! It wasn’t huge, but it was definitely an Albacore. I was pretty stoked, not gonna lie. One step closer to completing that bundle!
So yeah, that’s how I spent my morning in Stardew Valley. Catching that Albacore was a good reminder of how much I enjoy the little challenges in this game. Now, onto the next task!
