Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of talk online about AJ Styles and whether or not he’s on steroids. I’m a huge fan of AJ, so I decided to, you know, do my own little experiment, not with steroids, of course, but to see if I could even remotely get close to his physique naturally.
First, I really dug into his workout routines. Found some interviews, some clips of him training, that sort of thing. The guy is a machine. It’s not just about lifting heavy, it’s about being athletic, flexible, and, well, phenomenal.

- I started hitting the gym more consistently. I used to go maybe three times a week, but I bumped that up to five, sometimes six.
- I changed up my workouts. I was doing the typical bodybuilding stuff – chest day, back day, leg day. But AJ’s routine seemed to be more about full-body workouts, lots of compound movements. So, I added in things like deadlifts, squats, overhead presses, you know, the classics.
- Added some cardio, it was awful at the beginning.
Then, I tried to improve my diet. I’m not gonna lie, I love junk food. Pizza, burgers, fries… you name it. But I realized if I wanted to even try to get close to AJ’s level of fitness, I had to clean up my diet.
My improvements
I’ve been at it for a few months now, and I can say, it’s tough. I can definitely see some changes. I’m stronger, I’ve got more definition, and I feel way better overall. More energy, better sleep.
But am I anywhere near AJ Styles’ physique? Nope. Not even close. The guy is a genetic freak, in the best way possible. And whether he’s on something or not, that’s his business. What I learned is that dedication, hard work, and a good diet can get you pretty far, but genetics and probably years of experience play a massive role. My body is my body, and I’m just trying to be the best version of it.
