Okay, so, I was watching that AEW pay-per-view, you know, Forbidden Door back in June 2022. There was this crazy four-way match for the IWGP World Heavyweight title. I was really pumped because Adam Cole was in it, going against Jay White, who was the champ at the time. I’ve always been a big fan of Adam Cole, man, ever since he started, followed him everywhere, you know? He is awesome. I couldn’t wait to see him in this match.
But things went south real quick. It’s been a tough couple of years for Cole, with a few injuries, but this one was a doozy. During the match, it was clear something was off. I mean, these guys go hard, but this was different. And then he had a bad concussion.

So, fast forward to AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam in 2023. I was so excited to see him back, even though he wasn’t wrestling. He was there to save someone at the ringside. I still remember it was MJF. He ran down to the ringside, and boom, he messed up his ankle. I mean, he was just running, and it happened. It was such a bummer, you know? Seeing him go down like that, it was tough. It’s just crazy how these things happen. He’s just there to help, and bam, he’s out again.
It’s been over a year since that injury. He had surgery in early October, and it’s been a long road to recovery for him. I keep checking updates, hoping to see him back in action. He’s such a talent. It’s a shame to see him sidelined like this. It’s tough for him, I’m sure, but it’s tough for us fans too. I really hope to see him wrestle again soon. It is just a waiting game, and it is killing me!
- Watch Pro Wrestling: I gotta watch more wrestling.
- Injury Happens: I should be aware that these wrestlers put their bodies on the line every time they step into the ring, or even just run down to ringside.
- Support: These guys need our support, especially when they’re going through tough times like this.
What I learned:
So yeah, that’s my take on Adam Cole’s injury. It sucks, but I’m staying positive. I know he’ll be back, and when he is, it’ll be awesome. Just gotta be patient, I guess.
