Okay, so, a while back, I got this wild idea to try something out. It’s a bit of a long story, but here goes nothing. I’m no wrestler, but I’ve always been a huge fan of Matt Hardy. You know, the “Broken” Matt Hardy, with all the “delete” stuff? Yeah, that guy. Anyway, I was watching some old clips, and I got it into my head to see if I could pull off a weird stunt of my own, kinda inspired by him.
So the title of this post is “Matt Hardy Removed His Dress to Qualify.” Now, it is not the real thing that happened to Matt. I just want to use this to start my story. I was chatting with a buddy, just like Chris Van Vliet, and we were talking about all the crazy stuff Matt’s done over the years. And I remembered this one time where Matt had a no-disqualification match with Bully Ray. It was intense. That got me thinking, “What if I tried to do something just as out there?”
I started brainstorming. I remembered reading somewhere that Matt once attacked his brother Jeff out of jealousy, over some match for the Intercontinental Championship. Now, I don’t have a brother to feud with, but I do have a few buddies who are always up for a laugh. I also remembered some rumors about Matt’s erratic behavior and some other things, but I wanted to focus on the fun, creative stuff.
First I needed a plan. This was gonna be all about having fun. After that, I thought about what I could do that would be both ridiculous and memorable, just like Matt’s “delete” gimmick. I spent a few days mulling it over, watching more old wrestling clips, and trying to come up with something that would make people go, “What the heck was that?”
Then it hit me. I decided I would try to qualify for something, but in the most over-the-top way possible. I needed to find something to “qualify” for. A local talent show? A hot dog eating contest? The possibilities were endless. I eventually settled on a silly costume contest at a local comic-con. Perfect.
Here’s what I did:
- Got the Gear: First thing I did was put together a crazy outfit. Think “Broken” Matt Hardy meets a thrift store explosion. I’m talking a sparkly dress, a wig that looked like it had been through a hurricane, and some seriously mismatched accessories.
- The Entrance: When I got to the comic-con, I made sure to make a grand entrance. Loud music, weird poses, the whole nine yards. People were staring, which was exactly what I wanted.
- The “Removal”: Now, here’s where the “removed his dress” part comes in. During the contest, just when it was my turn, I dramatically “struggled” with my dress, like it was some sort of cursed artifact. Then, with a big flourish, I ripped it off, revealing… another, even more ridiculous outfit underneath.
- The “Qualification”: I didn’t actually win the contest, but I definitely got the most laughs and confused looks. Mission accomplished. I declared myself “qualified” for being the most bizarre contestant there.
It was all in good fun, and I got some great reactions from people. It made me appreciate how creative wrestlers like Matt Hardy are, always coming up with new ways to entertain the audience. And yeah, it was a bit crazy, but that’s what made it fun. I even got a few people asking me if I was trying to be like Matt Hardy, which was pretty cool.
So, that’s my story. I tried to channel my inner “Broken” Matt Hardy and do something completely off-the-wall. It was a blast, and I’d definitely do something like that again. Maybe next time, I’ll even try to “delete” someone. Just kidding… unless?
The Takeaway
Honestly, the whole thing was just a fun experiment. I wanted to see if I could do something as wild and unpredictable as the wrestlers I admire. And you know what? It was a great experience. It taught me that sometimes, it’s okay to be a little weird and embrace the absurd. Who knows, maybe I’ll start my own wrestling gimmick. “The Unhinged Blogger,” perhaps? The possibilities are endless!
