Okay, so, I’ve been diving deep into my family history lately, right? And today, I wanted to share something special about my little one, Nina Lauren Nenitte De La Hoya. You might have heard of her dad, Oscar De La Hoya, the famous boxer. But today, it’s all about Nina.
The Early Days
So, Nina came into our lives on December 29, 2007. I remember that day like it was yesterday. Holding her for the first time, I felt this overwhelming sense of love and responsibility. She was so tiny and perfect. We decided to name her Nina Lauren Nenitte. It’s a mouthful, I know, but each name has its own special meaning to us.
Growing Up
Watching Nina grow has been an amazing journey. She’s not just a little baby anymore; she’s 15 now and becoming her own person. She is the youngest member of the De La Hoya family. It’s been incredible to see her develop her own interests and passions. She’s into a bit of everything, always exploring, always learning. I try my best to support her in whatever she chooses to do.
Family Life
We’re a big family, and everyone has their own thing going on. Oscar and I actually split up in 2016, but we’re all about making sure our kids, including Nina, feel loved and supported. Besides Nina, there’s her brother Oscar Gabriel, and then there are Oscar’s older kids, Jacob, Devon, and Victoria, from his previous relationships. We’re like this big, blended family, and somehow, it just works for us.
- Jacob is the oldest, born in 1998.
- Then there’s Devon, who came along in 1999.
- Oscar Gabriel joined us in the early 2000s.
- And then our little Nina in 2007.
- Last but not least, Victoria, the youngest.
Even though Oscar and I aren’t together anymore, we work hard to co-parent and make sure all the kids feel connected. It’s not always easy, but seeing them happy and thriving makes it all worth it.
What’s Next?
Honestly, who knows what the future holds? But one thing’s for sure, I’m excited to see where Nina’s journey takes her. She’s got so much potential, and as her dad, I’m just here to cheer her on every step of the way.
So, that’s a little peek into our lives and our girl, Nina. Thanks for letting me share our story. It’s been quite the ride, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
