Okay, so, I saw people online talking about this “Acheron” and some kind of countdown for a banner, and I got curious. Turns out, it’s for some game, and apparently, this Acheron character is a big deal. They say she’s a 5-star unit, whatever that means, and uses lightning, which sounds cool. She’s also on the “Path of Nihility” – no idea what that’s about, but it sounds powerful.
Anyway, this banner thing is supposed to be up during the first part of something called “version 2.1.” Not sure when that is, but the countdown should show when it starts, I guess. People are saying this Acheron banner will only be around for 21 days. So, I figured I’d try to make a simple countdown timer to keep track.
First, I tried to find out when this banner actually starts. Some people were saying it’s after some maintenance thing that supposedly started in like 14 hours or something like that. That was a bit vague. Then I saw some chatter about another banner, for someone named “Kafka,” and there was even a countdown for that. I started to feel like everyone just making up these names, but then I found this mention that for Asian players, Acheron will be available on November 13, 2024. Okay, we’re getting somewhere! Though that seems kind of far away to be talking about now. I guess this game has a big following or something.
I’m not really a coder, but I know enough to be dangerous. So, I started playing around with some code to see if I could get a basic timer working. I found some examples online and started messing with them. I set the date for November 13, 2024, since that’s what I found, and started tweaking the code.
After a bunch of trial and error, and a lot of head-scratching, I finally got something that resembles a countdown timer. It’s pretty basic, just shows the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the supposed release date. It’s not pretty, but it does the job, I think.

Maybe I’ll actually check out the game when the banner goes live. Who knows, maybe this Nihility path is actually fun.

So it seems like the information I found was a bit off. Acheron’s banner is not actually coming out on November 13, 2024. That date might be for a re-run or something. It sounds like her banner will be available much sooner, possibly right after the maintenance that people were talking about. It might be better to refer to the actual in-game announcements for the most accurate information. Well, at least the countdown timer still kind of works, even if the date is wrong.
This whole thing was more confusing than I thought it would be. Lesson learned: don’t always trust what you read on the internet, especially when it comes to game release dates.
