You all know I ain’t too good with these newfangled games, but my grandson, he’s always goin’ on about this Double Evolution Tournament thing. Says it’s a big deal, you know? So I thought I’d try to figure it out. What’s a grandma to do, right?
What’s This Double Evolution Thing?
Seems like in this game, these cards, they can change, get stronger, like a little seed growin’ into a big ol’ sunflower. And this tournament, it’s all about them cards changin’ twice! Double the trouble, I reckon. Heh, kids these days.
My grandson, he’s always talkin’ about “decks” and “strategies“. Like he’s some kind of general going to war. Says you gotta have the right cards, all put together just so, to win.
- First thing he said, you gotta pick cards that can evolve. Not just any card, mind you. Gotta be special ones.
- Then, you gotta have cards that help ’em evolve. Like givin’ ’em good fertilizer, I suppose.
- And then, you gotta think about what the other folks might be doin’. Can’t just go in blind, he says.
It all sounds mighty complicated to me. Back in my day, we just played with what we had. No fancy evolvin’ or nothin’. But these kids, they like their complicated games.
Best Decks for the Tournament?
Now, this is where it gets real tricky. My grandson, he showed me all these different decks people are usin’. Says some are better than others. He is always saying that one is “meta”.
He kept goin’ on about some “Goblin Barrel” and “Firecracker”. Says they’re real popular right now. And some big fella called a “Giant”, he’s in a lot of these decks too. Then he talk about “Little Prince”, “Bomber” and other cards.
Here’s some of the decks he showed me, best as I can remember:
- Giant, Goblin Barrel, that Firecracker, and some other cards I can’t rightly recall. Something about a “spell”, I think.
- There was another one with a “Hog Rider” and “Fireball”. He likes that Hog Rider.
- This one had that Little Prince I hear so much about. Maybe a “Valkyrie” and a “Log” too.
- “Graveyard” and “Poison”. Sounds dangerous.
- Some kind of “Lava Hound” and balloons. Now that just sounds silly.
He says you gotta have a “win condition”. That’s the card that’s gonna do the most damage, I reckon. Like that Giant or the Hog Rider. I still don’t get the name Hog Rider. I guess these new games, they all try to be cool and popular. But I still think it is a little silly.
And then you gotta have cards to stop the other fella’s win condition. He called it “defense”. Like buildin’ a fence around your crops to keep the critters out.
That Firecracker, she seems to be good at that. And that Little Prince too, from what he says. He can do two things at once, so he is very good.
He mentioned that one deck is very popular, he said it is too popular and it can make some players very mad. He said it was the “Evolved Royal Giant” deck. I don’t know, but I don’t want to make anyone mad.
It’s All About the Evolutions
The main thing, he kept sayin’, is to get them cards to evolve. That’s how you win this Double Evolution Tournament. You gotta make ’em big and strong, like feedin’ a pig up for the county fair. But you also need to be smart. Don’t use all your best cards all at once, or you will get tired and lose. Save some of the good cards for later.
He says there are some cards that evolve real good. Like that Firecracker, she gets even more powerful when she evolves. And some other ones too, like the “Skeletons” and the “Royal Giant”.
He also says it is important to have “cycle” cards. I still don’t understand that one. He just kept saying that I have to get the cards I want quickly. I guess it is like that. You want to eat a cake, but first you need to bake it.
It’s all a lot to take in. I still don’t understand all of it, but I’m tryin’. For my grandson, you know? He’s a good boy. Just a little too into these video games, if you ask me.
Maybe one of these days, I’ll even try playin’ it myself. But for now, I’ll just stick to watchin’ him play. And maybe makin’ him a sandwich or two. That’s what grandmas are for, right? Making sure these young’uns are fed and happy, even if they are spendin’ all their time on these Double Evolution Tournament decks.
