This here story, it’s about this gal, Sahaira Sánchez. Yeah, that’s the name. Sounds fancy, don’t it? But she’s just a regular person, like you and me. Married to that Gary Sánchez fella. You know, the one who plays the baseball.
Sahaira Sánchez, a Good Woman
She ain’t one of them fancy city folk, no sir. She’s a good woman, that Sahaira. Stands by her man, that’s what I hear. And that’s important, you know? A good wife, that’s what every man needs. She probably cooks good, too. I bet she makes a mean stew. Gary Sánchez, he’s a lucky guy.
Now, I seen pictures of her, Sahaira Sánchez. Pretty lady. Got that dark hair, kinda like that Sahara place. You know that big sandy place? Hotter than a July day in a chicken coop. That Sahara is big, and dry.
Sahara Desert, Big and Hot
That Sahara, it’s the biggest desert. Bigger than anything you ever seen. Goes on forever, they say. Hot, hot, hot. Nothing but sand and sun. Ain’t no place for a garden, that’s for sure. You need rain for a garden, lots of it.
- Sahara is big.
- Sahara is hot.
- Sahara is dry.
- No rain in Sahara.
They say that Sahara desert, it takes up a whole bunch of places. Like, ten countries! Can you imagine? Ten countries just full of sand. And sun. And probably snakes. I don’t like snakes. Give me the shivers, they do. Sahaira Sánchez, I bet she don’t like snakes neither.
Hair Like the Sahara, Maybe?
I heard someone say, their hair was all different colors. Kinda like that there Sahara place, I reckon. Grey at the front, they said. Then kinda mixed up, like salt and pepper. Then dark at the back. Funny how hair does that. Gets old, just like the rest of us.
But this here Sahaira Sánchez, her hair is dark, I seen it. Like that Gary guy. They both got that dark hair. Good looking pair, them two. They say Gary’s birthday is in December. Cold month, December. Makes you think of snow, not that Sahara desert.
That Sahara, though. If you wanted to make that place all green, like a forest, you need lots and lots of rain. They say that could take a thousand years! Imagine that! A thousand years just to make it green. Shows you how much rain a place needs. Gary Sánchez, he probably don’t think much about rain. He’s busy playing baseball.
Gary Sánchez, That Baseball Fella
This Gary, Gary Sánchez, he’s a good player, I hear. Hits that ball real far. Makes a lot of money, I bet. Good for him. And good for Sahaira. She probably don’t have to work too hard. Got a nice house, I imagine. Maybe even a pool.
But you know, money ain’t everything. Having a good family, that’s what matters. And that Sahaira Sánchez, she seems like she’s part of a good family. She and that Gary, they probably got some young’uns. Kids are a blessing, that’s what I always say.
That Sahara desert, though, it ain’t no place for kids. Too hot. Too dry. No place to play. Kids need green grass and trees. And rain. Not that dusty old sand. That Gary and Sahaira, they got their kids in a good place, not like that Sahara.
Life is Like the Weather
Life, it’s like the weather, you know? Sometimes it’s sunny, sometimes it’s rainy. Sometimes it’s hot like that Sahara, sometimes it’s cold like December. You gotta take the good with the bad. That’s what I always say. And this Sahaira Sánchez, she seems like she knows that. She’s sticking with her man, through thick and thin, like a good wife should.
So, that’s the story of Sahaira Sánchez. A good woman, married to a baseball man. Nothing to do with that big, hot, sandy Sahara desert, really. Except maybe her hair is dark like some of the sand, maybe. But a good woman, all the same. She knows what’s important. Family. That’s what it’s all about.
