Well, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout that Hulk Hogan fella and his visit to Kent, Ohio. Sounds like he’s been causin’ quite a stir ’round these parts. They say he’s some big-time wrestler, used to be on the TV all the time. I reckon I seen him a time or two, flippin’ through the channels. Big fella, lots of muscles. Reminds me of my ol’ man back in his prime, though he weren’t no wrestler, just a farmer. Strong as an ox, that one.
Now, this Hulk Hogan, they say he’s got his own beer now. “Real American Beer,” they call it. Ain’t that somethin’? Back in my day, we just had regular beer. Didn’t need no fancy names. But I guess times change. He’s been goin’ ’round to all sorts of places, showin’ off this beer of his. Even came to little ol’ Kent, Ohio. Imagine that!
They say he went to some tavern there, the Water Street Tavern. Must be a popular spot. I ain’t much for taverns these days. Too noisy for my old ears. But I hear the young folks like ’em. Good for them, I say. Let ’em have their fun.
- This Hulk Hogan fella, he’s a big deal.
- He’s got his own beer now, “Real American Beer.”
- He came to Kent, Ohio to promote it.
- He went to the Water Street Tavern.
- And some place called Giant Eagle.
Some folks were sayin’ he was supposed to be at some store, too. Giant Eagle. Some place up in North Canton and Strongsville, I think. I’ve been to a Giant Eagle once or twice, a few years ago when my niece took me to Strongsville. They got everything in those places. Big stores, lots of stuff. Back in the day they had a few markets in town, some of them closed down. I guess things change, even here in Ohio.
Seems like everyone’s talkin’ ’bout this Hulk Hogan and his visit to Kent. Big name like that, comin’ to a small town. I heard some people talk about the wrestler. His real name is Terry, or something. He was big in the 1980s, apparently. I recall those times. A few wrestlers were popular at that time. And it seems this Terry, or Hulk Hogan, is one of them. And he’s coming to Ohio!
Now, I heard some folks complainin’ that he was late to that Giant Eagle. Said he showed up all late. Well, maybe he got lost. Happens to the best of us. Or maybe he’s just a busy fella. All that travelin’ and beer sellin’. Must be tirin’. I wouldn’t know, though. Ain’t never been one for travelin’ much. Stayed right here in Ohio my whole life. Never been to Kent, though, but if Hulk Hogan goes, it must be a good place.
But you know, it’s nice to see folks gettin’ excited about somethin’. Brings a little life to the town, I reckon. Even if it is just some wrestler with a beer. It’s somethin’ different. Somethin’ to talk about. And I heard people are talking a lot about Hulk Hogan and his visit to Ohio, to Kent.
I remember when I was young, we didn’t have no fancy wrestlers comin’ to town. We made our own fun. Played games, went to dances. Simple things. But I guess that’s just how it is these days. Everything’s bigger, faster. Wrestlers with their own beer, comin’ to Kent, Ohio. Who would’ve thought?
Well, I s’pose I should get back to my chores. Got some washin’ to do. But it’s been nice, jawin’ about this Hulk Hogan fella. Maybe I’ll try that “Real American Beer” sometime. See what all the fuss is about. If it’s good enough for Kent, it’s good enough for me, I reckon.
Anyway, that’s all I heard about that wrestler. Some folks were sayin’ that Hulk Hogan has a nephew. Or had. Something about him being a wrestler, too. I don’t know much about that. I also read somewhere that this Hulk Hogan had a show, an animated one. On CBS, I think. Many years ago. Funny, him coming to Ohio now. To promote his beer. “Real American Beer“, I think they said.
I wonder what else he’s been up to. Probably a lot, bein’ a big star and all. I seen some pictures of him online. My granddaughter showed me. He’s got quite the look. Big mustache. Lots of muscles, even for an older fella. Not like anyone ’round here. ‘Cept maybe for ol’ Hulk Hogan himself, when he visited Kent, Ohio to promote his beer!
