That Tiger Woods, he’s somethin’ else, ain’t he? Been watchin’ him on the TV, swingin’ that golf club. Heard folks talkin’ ’bout this “handicap” thing. Makes me think, what’s that all about?
They say he ain’t winnin’ like he used to. Used to be, that Tiger, he’d win everything. Now, he’s got these… these odds, they call ’em. Like bettin’ on horses, I reckon. But it ain’t horses, it’s Tiger Woods and his golfin’.
Seems like folks don’t think he’s gonna win much these days. This handicap for Tiger Woods, it is a big deal. They got numbers, like +12500, +20000, +10000, +8000, +6600. Don’t ask me what they mean, but it sounds like a long shot. And they talk about these places, BetMGM, FOX Bet, like they’re some kind of fancy stores. All about this Tiger Woods handicap, I tell ya.
Heard some folks on the TV sayin’ he’s hurt. Injuries, they say. Back, knees, all messed up. That’ll slow a fella down, for sure. Imagine tryin’ to swing that club with a bum knee. Now they are talkin’ ’bout somethin’ called the “PGA Championship.” And “U.S. Open” and some place called “Augusta”. Sounds important. Maybe he’ll win there. Maybe this handicap thing is just a bunch of hooey. He is Tiger Woods, after all.
Heard one fella say Tiger’s “declinin’.” Like he’s goin’ downhill. Well, we all get older. Can’t stay young forever. Even that Tiger Woods, with all his money and his fame. He’s still just a man. A man with a handicap, it seems.
They have some other thing called “Royal Troon Golf Club.” I don’t know about all these fancy places. But it looks like those handicap numbers for Tiger are high.
I remember when he was young, though. Boy, could he hit that ball. Farther than anyone. Straighter than anyone. Used to win all the time. Now, not so much. But he’s still Tiger Woods. Maybe he’s got a few surprises left in him.
I just hope he’s doin’ alright. All those injuries, all that pressure. It ain’t easy, bein’ Tiger Woods. Even with a handicap. It’s still a lot to carry.
