This here Genshin Impact, it’s a real head-scratcher, ain’t it? But I got a thing or two to say about this “Message from a City Resident III.” City folks, they always got these fancy words for simple things. I reckon it’s just some fella leavin’ notes around, like a silly game of hide-and-seek.
Now, this game, it’s got all sorts of places. Mondstadt, Liyue, that Inazuma place… Sumeru… too many names to keep straight! But I heard tell this message is somewhere near that Constellation place. Sounds like somethin’ to do with the stars, don’t it? Stars are pretty, I s’pose. But they don’t fill your belly like a good stew.
First thing you gotta do is find a wooden sign. Sounds easy enough, but them city folks like to make things complicated. Under a tree in my backyard, they say. Well, ain’t that helpful? Every house got a backyard! And trees! They’re everywhere! But this one, it’s got a bunch of stones under it. Why would anyone put stones under a tree? Maybe it’s for sittin’. Or maybe them city kids like to play with rocks. I dunno.
Then you gotta go east. East is where the sun comes up, so that’s easy to remember. You’ll see another tree, behind the house with the sign. And get this, there’s a bunch of leaves there. Leaves! Well, I never! Trees have leaves, who woulda thought? City folks must think we’re all fools. I guess you gotta look at them leaves, maybe there is something in there, it should be a clue.
Now, this whole Genshin Impact game, it’s about runnin’ around, findin’ things, fightin’ monsters. Monsters! Back in my day, we just had to worry about wolves and bears. These newfangled monsters, they got all sorts of powers and whatnot. It’s all a bit much for me, if you ask me. But, them city folks, always trying to find something to do. Always busy. Not like here. We take life slowly.
- Find that wooden sign.
- Look for stones under a tree.
- Go east to another tree behind the house.
- Look at the leaves, find the clue!
This game, it’s got all sorts of folks playin’ it. New folks, old folks… They say it’s got somethin’ for everyone. I guess that’s true. Even an old gal like me can figure out a thing or two, even if it takes a while. And there’s this book, a handbook, they call it. Supposed to tell you all about the game. Locations, enemies, challenges… Sounds like a lot of readin’. I’d rather be tendin’ to my garden, but I guess some folks like that sort of thing.
They say this game is “vast” and “ever-expanding.” That means it’s big and it keeps gettin’ bigger. Like a pumpkin vine that just won’t quit! I reckon it’ll keep them city folks busy for a good long while. And these “treasure chests”… Sounds excitin’, I guess. Like findin’ a gold coin in your washin’. But probably just more of them fancy city trinkets. Give me a good pair of work boots over a treasure chest any day.
This whole “open world of Teyvat” thing… Sounds like a lot of walkin’. My old legs ain’t what they used to be. I’d rather be sittin’ on my porch, watchin’ the sunset. But I guess young folks need to run around and explore. Get that energy out, you know? And this draw an Alpaca, draw a hamster things, what are those? I don’t think I know these animals, but seems like fun. City folks like drawing, I guess.
To play this Genshin Impact, you gotta “install” it. That means puttin’ it on your… what do they call it… your computer. Then you “launch” it, which means startin’ it up. Then there’s a bunch of “introductions” and “cinematics.” Fancy words for a movie, I reckon. Just a bunch of talkin’ and pictures movin’ around. After all that, you finally get to play the game. This “message from a city resident” thing, it’s probably just a small part of it. A little somethin’ extra for folks who like to find hidden things. Like findin’ a four-leaf clover in a field of grass.
This game, it seems like a lot of work to me. Running around, reading signs, looking under the tree, going to the east… It is too much for me. I like simple things. But, I guess this is how city folks play. Always on the move, never sit still. I guess that is what is Genshin Impact.
Well, I reckon that’s all I got to say about this “Message from a City Resident III” business. It’s a silly game, but I guess it keeps folks entertained. And that’s all that matters, ain’t it? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go water my tomatoes. They don’t grow themselves, you know!
