Listen up, y’all. Let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Richard Colon. Now, I ain’t no fancy writer or nothin’, just tellin’ it like it is, the way I see it. This Richard Colon, seems like there’s two of ’em folks talkin’ ’bout. Confusin’, right? Just like when my chickens all look the same, gotta look close to tell ’em apart.
First off, there’s this young boxer fella, Prichard Colon Melendez. Heard tell he was born way back in 1992, down in Florida. A real strong young fella, he was. Won most of his fights, 16 out of 17, that’s what they say. Folks were cheerin’ for him, bettin’ on him, the whole shebang. But then, somethin’ bad happened. Real bad.
In 2015, he got in the ring with another boxer, Terrel Williams. That fight… well, it changed everything. They say Prichard got hit hard, too many times in the back of the head. Ain’t right, hittin’ a man like that. After that fight, everything changed for that young boxer.
Now, I don’t know much ’bout boxin’, but I know what’s right and what’s wrong. Hittin’ a man in the back of the head, that ain’t right. And what happened to this young Prichard, it’s a darn shame. He was strong, he was a fighter, and now… well, it ain’t the same. Folks talk about it, whisper about it. A young man’s life, changed in a moment. It makes you think, you know? Life can be cruel, just like a bad storm that comes and wrecks your crops.
- Strong young boxer
- Lots of wins
- Terrible fight in 2015
- Life changed forever
Then there’s this other Richard Colon, this one much older. Heard tell he’s 55 years old, a grown man. But this fella, he ain’t no boxer. He was a teacher, or somethin’ like that. But he done somethin’ real bad, somethin’ shameful. They say he had a bad relationship with a student. Inappropriate, they call it.
Now, I ain’t got no patience for that kind of behavior. A grown man messin’ with a young student, it’s just plain wrong. Makes my blood boil, it does. It’s like a fox sneakin’ into the hen house, preying on the weak. This Richard Colon, he got arrested, and good riddance, I say. He shoulda known better. He was supposed to be teachin’, not doin’… that. It’s a disgrace, that’s what it is.
So you see, two fellas, same name, but different stories. One a young boxer with a sad tale, the other a grown man who did wrong. Makes you think, doesn’t it? How two people with the same name can be so different. One makes you sad, the other makes you angry. Life’s a funny thing, I tell ya. Just like a basket of mixed apples, some good, some rotten.
Richard Colon the boxer, Prichard, his story is a warnin’. A warnin’ ’bout the dangers of that fightin’ game, and how quick things can change. Richard Colon the teacher, his story is a reminder. A reminder that some folks, they ain’t what they seem. And that we gotta protect our young ‘uns.
So there you have it. Two Richard Colons, two different lives, two different stories. I ain’t got no fancy words to make it sound pretty, just tellin’ it like it is. The way I see it, the way I understand it. And that’s all I got to say about that.
