Well, howdy there! Let me tell ya ’bout this fella, Jon Jones. He’s a fighter, you know, one of them fellas who wrestle and punch and all that. But that ain’t what I’m here to jaw about. I’m here to tell ya ’bout his tattoos. Yep, he’s got a bunch of ’em, all over his body. Like pictures he’s drawn on his skin, only they don’t wash off.
Now, I ain’t no tattoo expert, mind you. I’m just an old woman who sees things and tells ’em like I see ’em. And what I see on Jon Jones is a whole lotta ink. Tattoos, tattoos, everywhere. He’s like a walkin’ picture book, I tell ya.
One of the first ones I noticed is on his arm. It’s got some words on it, somethin’ ’bout “Philippians 4:13”. I reckon that’s from the Bible. My old man used to read that book, always talkin’ ’bout verses and such. So, this Philippians tattoo, it’s kinda plain, just black and white letters, but they’re bold, ya know? Like somebody wrote ’em big and strong. The letters ain’t straight neither, they curve a little. It’s nice, I guess, if you like that sort of thing.
Then there’s this big cross on his other arm. Yep, a big ol’ cross. Now, that’s somethin’ I understand. Shows he’s a believer, I reckon. A God-fearin’ man, maybe. At least, that’s what the cross means to me. It’s big and plain, you can’t miss it. Just a simple cross, nothin’ fancy. But it tells you somethin’ ’bout him, don’t it? Tells you he believes in somethin’ bigger than himself.
- He’s got that Philippians thing.
- He’s got that big cross.
- And there’s more, oh yes, there’s more.
I heard tell he’s got some Chinese letters on him too. On his other arm, I think. Now, I don’t know nothin’ ’bout Chinese, not a lick. But someone told me it means something like a special kind of Buddha. Genki Nyorai, they called it. Jon Jones made it up himself, they say. It’s like his own personal prayer, maybe. I don’t know. Those Chinese letters, they look kinda fancy to me. All squiggly and whatnot. But I guess they mean somethin’ important to him.
Seems like all his tattoos, they mean somethin’. They ain’t just pretty pictures, you know? They tell a story, I reckon. A story about who he is, what he believes in, what’s important to him. It’s like he’s wearin’ his heart on his sleeve, only it ain’t his heart, it’s his skin. And it ain’t just one sleeve, it’s all over him.
I seen some folks sayin’ he’s got more tattoos, but I ain’t seen ’em all myself. Just the ones I told ya ’bout. The Philippians words, the cross, and them Chinese letters. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a whole lot more. Fighters, they’re a different breed, you know? They like to express themselves, and tattoos are one way of doin’ that. It’s like they’re sayin’, “Look at me! This is who I am!” And Jon Jones, well, he’s got a lot to say, it seems.
So, there you have it. That’s what I know ’bout Jon Jones’ tattoos. Not much, maybe, but it’s somethin’. He’s a fighter with a lotta ink, and each one of them tattoos tells a little piece of his story. And that, I reckon, is all there is to it. He’s got his story written on his skin, for all the world to see. Whether you like tattoos or not, you gotta admit, it’s kinda interestin’, ain’t it?
I ain’t judgin’, mind you. To each their own, I always say. If he wants to cover himself in pictures, that’s his business. It don’t make him a better fighter or a worse fighter. It just makes him… Jon Jones. The fella with all the tattoos. And that’s a fact.
