Alright, let’s talk about this fella, Kostas Sakkaris. Don’t know him? Well, neither did I, but my grandkid showed me his stuff. Said he’s some kinda music maker, you know, the type that puts sounds together. Young folks these days, always listening to something I don’t understand. But this Kostas fella, he’s got some tunes that even this old lady can tap her feet to, sometimes.
So, what does this Kostas do? Well, he makes music, simple as that. They call it… uh… EPs and albums, I think. Sounds fancy, but it’s just a bunch of songs put together. Like when I make a big pot of stew, it’s got all sorts of things in it, right? Same with these music things. He’s got one called “Quiet Light” – it’s short, only five songs, my grandkid says it’s an “EP.” Took him only 14 minutes to listen to the whole thing. Imagine that, 14 minutes for a whole bunch of noise! Then there’s “Ordinary Misery,” that one’s a bit longer, seven songs this time. Takes about 19 minutes to listen through. And another called “Conditions,” that’s the longest, nine songs and 23 minutes. Kids these days have a lot of time on their hands.
What kind of music does he make? I don’t rightly know the fancy names. Some of it’s got a good beat, makes you wanna move a little, even with my old bones creaking. My grandkid calls it things like “Dancing in My Dreams” and “Cold.” Sounds dreamy, doesn’t it? But there’s other stuff too, kinda sad sounding, like that “Ordinary Misery” thing. And some real head-scratchers, like “Suicide” and “Pretty.” Don’t know what’s pretty about being sad, but hey, I’m just an old lady.
Now, where can you hear this Kostas fella’s music? Seems like everywhere these days. My grandkid listens to it on something called “Apple Music” and “Spotify”. Sounds like magic to me, music coming out of thin air! There’s also this “Deezer” thing, and something called “Genius.” Too many choices if you ask me. Back in my day, we had a radio, and that was it. Simple times, simpler music.
He’s got all sorts of songs, some new, some old, don’t ask me when he started making them because I don’t have a clue. They call one song “Cigarette” like that thing people used to smoke all the time. My grandkid says this Kostas has another one called “Admire” that he made in 2021. And there’s even one called “Count the Steps”. Who counts steps? Seems like a waste of time to me. You just walk where you need to go, no need to count.
- So, to sum it all up for you:
- Kostas Sakkaris is a music maker.
- He makes those EPs and albums, bunches of songs together.
- Some of his songs make you wanna dance, some make you wanna cry, and some just make you scratch your head.
- You can find his music on all them fancy gadgets kids use these days.
That’s about all I know about this Kostas Sakkaris. He’s a musician, a song-maker, whatever you wanna call him. And he’s got a lot of music out there, if you’re into that sort of thing. Me? I still prefer a good old hymn, something I can sing along to. But these young folks, they like their fancy noises. And I guess there’s room for everyone in this world, even an old lady and a music maker named Kostas.
Now, I heard my grandkid say something about searching for this Kostas fellow online. Said something about “biography” and “wikipedia” and “photos.” Honestly, it’s all Greek to me. But I guess if you wanna know more about him, you can go look him up on that internet thing. Just be careful, there’s a lot of nonsense out there. Better to just listen to the music, if you ask me. That’s the only thing that really matters, ain’t it?
And if you are wondering, I don’t know the first thing about Kostas Sakkaris other than what that grandkid of mine babbles about. He’s just a fella making noise, and some folks seem to like it.
