They say they gotta make it better, add new stuff, I reckon. Like addin’ more sugar to yer sweet tea, I guess. This here “maintenance,” they say it’s gonna take a while. Seven hours, they’re sayin’. Seven hours! That’s a whole lotta time you could be doin’ somethin’ useful, like churnin’ butter or feedin’ the chickens.

If you’re over in Asia, it’ll be mornin’ on the 14th. See? Confusin’! They should just say “after supper” or “before sunrise,” that’s what I say.
They also done this before, see? Back in August, they shut it down for a bit too. And then again in June. Seems like they’re always tinkerin’ with this thing. Guess that’s what they do with these newfangled games.
So, what do we do while we wait?
Well, I reckon you could find somethin’ else to do. Read a book, go for a walk, talk to your neighbor. Heck, you could even help me shell these peas. Seven hours is a long time to just sit around twiddlin’ yer thumbs. Maybe bake a pie? A nice apple pie always makes the waitin’ go by faster.
This here “Update 1.4”, what’s in it?
Now, they don’t tell me much, these game makers. They keep their secrets, I tell ya. But they say this “Update 1.4” is gonna be somethin’ special. New things to do, new places to see, maybe even some new characters. It’s like addin’ a new room to yer house, I guess. Makes things more interestin’, they say. But I still say, seven hours is a long time to wait for a new room, or whatever it is they’re addin’. They could build a whole barn in that time!
Keepin’ Track of the Time
Some folks are makin’ these “countdown timers,” they call ’em. Fancy clocks that tell ya exactly how much time is left. I ain’t got no use for them things. I can tell time just fine by lookin’ at the sun, thank ya very much. But if you’re one of them folks that needs a fancy clock, well, you go right ahead. Just don’t come cryin’ to me if it breaks. These newfangled gadgets ain’t built to last, I tell ya. Good ol’ fashioned clock on the wall is all you need.
