Well, let me tell ya ’bout this fella, the Green Shirt Guy at the WWE shows. Folks call him that ‘cause, well, he always wears a green shirt.
I ain’t sure why everyone’s so worked up ‘bout him, but he’s always there, right up front. Seems like every time ya turn on the TV and it’s wrestling, there he is. Big shows, small shows, that green shirt’s always poppin’ up. Like he ain’t got nothin’ better to do, you know? Always grinnin’ too. I swear, that man must own stock in green shirts or somethin’.
Now, some folks say he’s just a big fan. And I guess that could be true. He goes to all them shows, like WrestleMania and RAW and all that. Spends his hard-earned money, I reckon, just to sit there and watch them fellas wrestle. Good for him, I guess, if that’s what makes him happy.
- He’s always in the front row. How’s he do that? Some say it’s luck. Others whisper he’s got some kinda connection with the WWE folks. Maybe he knows somebody, or maybe he just camps out all night to get them tickets. Who knows? It’s a mystery, like why my chickens keep gettin’ out of the coop.
- And that smile! Always smilin’, that fella. Even when them wrestlers are beatin’ each other up somethin’ fierce, he’s just sittin’ there grinnin’. Makes ya wonder what he’s thinkin’. Maybe he’s just happy to be there. Or maybe he knows somethin’ we don’t.
Then there’s this other fella, they call him the Sign Guy. He ain’t got nothin’ to do with the green shirt guy, but he’s another one of them super fans. Lives in Dallas, they say. I ain’t never been to Dallas, but I hear it’s a big city. This Sign Guy, he’s always got signs, big ones, with funny stuff written on ‘em. He goes to all them local wrestlin’ shows too, and autograph signin’s. Guess he’s got a lot of time on his hands.
Now, this Green Shirt Guy, he ain’t no wrestler, mind you. He just sits there and watches. But people talk about him, ya know? Like he’s some kinda celebrity or somethin’. They even interviewed him once, at somethin’ called WWE Fan Axxess. Asked him how he always gets that front row seat. He said it was luck, but I ain’t so sure. Seems too lucky to me.
Some folks say he might have a connection to the WWE. Maybe he works for ‘em, or maybe he’s related to somebody important. But it could just be he’s a regular fella who loves wrestlin’ and has a knack for gettin’ good seats. It’s hard to say for sure.
And speakin’ of wrestlin’, there’s all these fellas jumpin’ ship from WWE to that other place, AEW. Heard about it on the radio. This fella, MVP, he went over there, and then Shelton Benjamin joined him. And they say Bobby Lashley’s goin’ too. Used to be a group called The Hurt Business, them three. Now they’re all together again, but in a different place. Guess they weren’t happy with the WWE no more. Happens all the time, ya know? Folks get restless, want somethin’ new.
There was this other wrestler, Mr. Kennedy. Folks said he was gonna be a big star, but then he got fired. Something about not bein’ careful enough, I think. He went to that TNA place for a while, but it wasn’t the same. Just goes to show ya, even if you got the talent, sometimes things just don’t work out. Like that time I tried to make a cake and forgot to put the sugar in. Tasted awful, it did.
Anyway, back to the Green Shirt Guy. He’s still there, at all them WWE shows. Still wearin’ that green shirt, still smilin’. And folks are still talkin’ about him. He’s become a part of the whole wrestlin’ thing, I guess. Like the ring, and the ropes, and the big sweaty fellas throwin’ each other around.
So that’s the story of the Green Shirt Guy, as far as I know it. He’s just a fella who likes wrestlin’ and wears a green shirt. Nothin’ more, nothin’ less. But for some reason, folks can’t stop talkin’ about him. Maybe it’s ‘cause he’s always there, a familiar face in the crowd. Or maybe it’s just ‘cause that green shirt is so darn bright, ya can’t miss him.
Whatever the reason, the Green Shirt Guy is a part of the WWE now, whether he likes it or not. He’s a legend, in his own way. And that’s somethin’, I guess. Even if all he does is sit there and smile.
