Alright, alright, let’s talk about this Genshin thing. My grandkids, they’re always yappin’ about it. Somethin’ about maps and leaks, cities and such. Heard tell there’s gonna be new places, new folks. Don’t know much about it, but I’ll tell ya what I heard, the way I understand it, ya know?
So, they got this place, see? Sumeru, they call it. Sounds fancy, like somethin’ you’d find in a history book. And they say there’s gonna be more characters comin’ from there. Characters, like in a play? I dunno. My grandkid says they’re powerful fighters with magic and stuff. Kids these days and their wild imaginations.
Then there’s this Snezhnaya place. Sounds cold, don’t it? Like them winters we used to have back in the day. They say it’s gonna be a big deal, a whole new area to explore. Probably got snow and ice everywhere. Makes me shiver just thinkin’ about it. My old bones ain’t built for that kind of cold no more.
And this Tighnari fella, they say he’s a big shot, a five-star somethin’-or-other. First one of his kind, they say. Dendro, is it? Sounds like a disease, but I guess it’s some kinda power. Kids are always talkin’ about getting these “five stars”. Back in my day, you were lucky to get one star! These kids and their fancy rankings, always gotta be the best.
- New Characters: Lots of new faces comin’, they say. From all over, I guess. Gotta keep track of ’em all, like keepin’ track of chickens in the yard.
- New Places: Sumeru, Snezhnaya… sounds like a geography lesson. More places to get lost in, that’s for sure. My grandkid spends hours staring at that map, like it’s gonna tell him where the lost socks are.
- Big Updates: They call ’em patches, like fixin’ a hole in your pants. But these patches bring new stuff, new adventures. Guess it keeps the young’uns busy.
They’re always talkin’ about these “reruns.” Like old TV shows, I guess. Same characters comin’ back, but they get all excited about it. Maybe they’re stronger this time, or got new clothes? Who knows. It’s all the same to me, just folks on a screen.
And then there’s this Natlan place. Sounds hot, like them summers we used to have. They say it’s like somethin’ from them old stories, you know, with tribes and jungles and such. Makes you think of them old adventure movies they show on TV sometimes. Always some kinda trouble brewin’ in those places.
They got dates and times and all that. August somethin’, October somethin’. Like they know exactly when the sun’s gonna shine. These kids and their schedules. Back in my day, you woke up when the rooster crowed and went to bed when the sun went down. Now they got alarms and clocks and all sorts of gadgets tellin’ ’em what to do.
So they got these places already – Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Sumeru, and Fontaine. Sounds like a bunch of made-up names to me. But they say it’s like a whole world, with different folks and different ways of livin’. Kinda like our world, I guess, but with more magic and monsters.
And they say the people makin’ this game, they wanna have seven of these places in total. Seven! That’s a lot of ground to cover. They better get to work, or these kids will be grown up and gone before they finish. Kids these days are always wanting more, more, more. Never satisfied.
So, that’s the gist of it, as far as I can tell. Maps, leaks, cities… it’s all a bunch of hooey to me, but the kids seem to like it. Keeps ‘em outta trouble, I guess. As long as they ain’t spendin’ all their money on it, I ain’t got no complaints.
Genshin Impact, huh? Sounds like a whole lotta work for a whole lotta nothin’. But hey, what do I know? I’m just an old woman tryin’ to make sense of it all.
Anyway, that’s all I got for ya. Hope it made some kinda sense. Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. Them grandkids will be home soon, and they’ll be hungry as bears after a long day of star-gatherin’ or whatever they do.
