Alright, listen up, y’all. I’m gonna tell ya how to get that fancy hat, the Centipede Hat of Transcendence, or whatever they call it. It ain’t easy, mind you, but nothin’ good ever is.
First off, you gotta beat some big bug, the Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master, they say. Sounds like a nasty fella, all them eyes lookin’ at ya. Make sure you’re strong enough, eat your veggies, or somethin’. Don’t go in there all weak and flimsy, ya hear?
Now, after you whoop that bug-eyed fella, you can’t just pick up the hat. Oh no, that’d be too easy. You gotta craft it. Like makin’ a quilt, but with less pretty fabric and more bug parts, I reckon.
- First thing you need is the stuff. They call ’em “materials,” like it’s some kinda fancy buildin’ project. I ain’t sure what all they are, but I bet you get ’em from that big bug you just fought. Maybe some poison sacs, some spiky legs, who knows? Just gather up whatever looks important.
- Then you gotta finish Chapter 4. I don’t know what that is, some kinda storybook thing? Anyways, you gotta do it. Maybe it’s like finishin’ your chores before you get dessert. No Chapter 4, no hat. That’s the rule, they say.
Now, they say this hat is part of a whole set. Like a Sunday suit, but for fightin’ bugs, I guess. There’s boots, and other things, all made from that centipede. If you get the whole set, you’ll be strong as an ox, they say. But one thing at a time, let’s focus on that hat first.
This hat, it ain’t just for looks, you know. It’ll help ya if you get poisoned. You know, like when a snake bites ya, but worse, ’cause it’s a giant centipede. The hat “massively reduces the continuous damage” from poison, they say. Sounds like a good thing to have, unless you like bein’ sick, which I doubt.
And get this, it makes you stronger too. “Significantly increases Attack,” they say. That means you hit harder, like when you’re mad and you swing a broom at a rat, but way more powerful. So, you not only don’t get as sick from the poison, but you can also whoop them bugs better. Seems like a fair trade to me.
Some folks say you gotta be level 25 or somethin’. Like you gotta be a certain age to drink moonshine, I guess. So, if you’re too young, or too weak, go do some chores, beat up some smaller bugs, and get stronger. Then come back and try again.
And don’t forget, this hat is Legendary. That means it’s real special, like a prize-winning pumpkin at the county fair. Not everyone’s gonna have it, so you can strut around like a rooster in a henhouse if you get it.
Now, some other places say you find pieces of the set later on, like in Chapter 6, near some “Verdant Path shrine.” Sounds like a fancy name for a church in the woods to me. But that’s for the other parts, the boots and such. For the hat, you gotta beat that Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master and finish Chapter 4. That’s the key, they say.
So, to recap, beat the big bug, finish Chapter 4, gather the stuff, craft the hat. It ain’t rocket science, even I can understand it.
And that’s about it. Go get that hat, and don’t come cryin’ to me if you get stung by a bee along the way. Life’s tough, ya gotta be tougher.
