Alright, let’s talk about this Vanessa Ortiz, whoever she is. Seems like a big deal, from what I hear. People keep jabberin’ on about her.
Who is this Vanessa Ortiz gal anyway?
Well, from what I gather, she’s one of them acting and singing folks. You know, the kind that gets up on stage and makes all sorts of noise. Folks say she’s real good at it too. They say she’s got a powerful voice, strong enough to knock the socks off ya, I reckon. And she’s funny too, they say. Got them “comic chops” as they call it. Sounds like she can make people laugh, which is a good thing, I guess. Laughter’s good for the soul, my old man used to say.

- Oh, and this green witch, whatever that’s all about. Witches ain’t nothin’ but trouble, if you ask me. But I guess it’s just pretend, you know, like them stories they tell the young’uns.
Folks are always goin’ on about how she’s won a bunch of awards. “Winner many times over,” they say. Guess that means she’s pretty darn good at what she does. Must’ve worked hard, I reckon. Nothin’ comes easy in this life, that’s for sure. You gotta work your fingers to the bone to get anywhere.
They say she’s been doin’ this since she was a little tyke. “Since she was a child,” they say. Imagine that! A little bitty thing, singin’ and dancin’ and whatnot. Guess she was born with it, that talent. Some folks are just lucky that way.
This Vanessa Ortiz, she’s more than just singin’ and dancin’ though.
Seems like she’s been in them movies too, and stage plays. Lots of credits to her name, they say. Guess she’s been busy, real busy. Workin’ hard and makin’ a name for herself. That’s what my ma always told me to do, make a name for myself so people remember me.
Heard somethin’ about her workin’ through differences and comin’ together to celebrate life. Sounds like a good message, if you ask me. Too much fightin’ and arguin’ in this world. We all need to get along a little better.
Now, there’s another Vanessa Ortiz, different from the singin’ one, I think. This one, she’s a model from that Colombia place. Pretty as a picture, they say. “Commanding presence” they call it. Sounds fancy, huh? Guess she’s one of them folks that just walks into a room and everyone stares. Must be nice, I guess.
People go on and on about her singing like Whitney and Mariah. Big names, them singers. Guess this Vanessa can hold her own, singin’ their songs. And she’s got her own shows too, at some place called the Green Room. Don’t know nothin’ ‘bout that place, sounds fancy though.
She’s got all these followers on them internet things. Hundreds of ‘em. Folks seem to like her. Always postin’ pictures and stuff, I hear. Don’t understand that internet stuff myself. Too complicated for an old woman like me. But I guess that’s how folks stay connected these days.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know about this Vanessa Ortiz, or maybe it’s two Vanessa Ortizes. One sings and acts, the other one models. Both of ‘em seem to be doin’ alright for themselves. Good for them, I say. It’s a hard world out there and people need to make a living. As long as they aren’t causing trouble, that’s what matters, I say.
