Alright, listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about somethin’ I heard ’bout on the TV the other day. Seems like a bunch of them wrasslers, you know, the ones that jump around and pretend to fight, well, they got the boot this year. WWE releases in 2024, they call it.
Now, I don’t know much about these fancy names and all, but from what I gather, it’s like this: every year, these wrasslin’ folks, some get told to pack their bags. This year was no different, it seems like a whole heap of ’em got the heave-ho.
Some big names, the TV fella said. Like that fella… Dolph Ziggler, yeah, that’s the one. And Lacey Evans, she’s a tough one, always yelling. Matt Riddle, the fella with no shoes, and Mustafa Ali, always serious-lookin’. Elias, the guitar guy, he’s gone too. They say these folks were let go. Just like that, poof! Gone.
And it wasn’t just them. Turns out, a whole bunch of other wrasslers got the axe too. Some fellas from that NXT thing, whatever that is. Names like Boa, and Darrell Mason, and some girl named Emma Maria Diaz. Lots of ’em, too many to remember. They say 10 of them NXT folks got released in May. Heck, I can’t even keep track of my own grandkids’ names, let alone these wrasslers!

Seems like they cleaned house, if you ask me. Just got rid of a whole bunch of ’em. The TV fella was sayin’ somethin’ about contracts and money and stuff. Said the wrasslin’ company, WWE, they do this every year. But this year seemed like a big one, lots of folks leavin’.
And get this, some of ’em even went over to that other wrasslin’ show, AEW they call it. Jumpin’ ship, the TV fella said. Like goin’ from one farm to another, I guess. Guess they figured they could make more money over there, or maybe they just didn’t like the folks they were workin’ with no more.
Now, I don’t understand why they just let these folks go. Seems like a waste, all that trainin’ and muscle and such. But I reckon that’s just how the business works. One minute you’re on top, yellin’ and throwin’ folks around, the next minute you’re packin’ your bags and lookin’ for a new job. Just like farmin’, one year you got a good crop, the next year the bugs eat it all up.
And just recently, seems like more folks got let go. The TV fella said some names, Tegan, Indi, and Corbin. Said somethin’ about Corbin talkin’ about it on the internet. These young folks and their internets, I tell ya.
So, that’s the story, as best as I can tell it. Lots of wrasslers got released by WWE this year. Some big names, some not-so-big names. Some went to other wrasslin’ shows, some probably went on to do somethin’ else entirely. It’s just the way things go, I guess. Nothin’ stays the same forever, not even wrasslin’. Just like the seasons, things change, folks come and go. And that’s all there is to it. Now, where’s that remote? I wanna see what’s on the cooking channel.
WWE wrestlers released. That’s the long and short of it. A whole bunch of ’em, sent packin’ in 2024.
