Alright, let’s talk about this UFC 4 thing, you know, the fighting game? Folks keep askin’ me, “is UFC 4 cross platform?” Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t that simple.
First off, what’s this “cross platform” thing anyway? Sounds fancy, but it just means can you play with your friends even if they got a different game machine than you. Like, you got the Play-Station thingy and your neighbor’s kid got that X-Box, can ya’ll fight each other in the game? That’s what they wanna know.
Now, from what I hear, UFC 4, it ain’t cross platform. Nope. If you’re on the Play-Station 4, you can only play with other folks on the Play-Station 4. Same goes for the X-Box One folks. You can’t be mixin’ and matchin’. It’s like tryin’ to put a square peg in a round hole, just ain’t gonna work.
They say UFC 4 is on them Play-Station 4 and X-Box One thingamajigs. But they don’t have it on that computery thing, the PC. And even if they did, it sounds like you still wouldn’t be able to play together. Kinda silly if you ask me.
- Play-Station 4 players can only play with other Play-Station 4 players.
- X-Box One players can only play with other X-Box One players.
- No PC version, so no playing with them computer folks.
- Definitely no cross platform playin’ in 2024 either, they still ain’t fixed it.
They got all these fancy modes in the game, like “Blitz Battles” and “Online World Championships.” Sounds like a hoot, but still, you’re stuck playin’ with people on the same machine as you. You can fight in the Octagon, or even in some backyard or somethin’ called “Kumite.” But no matter where you fight, you ain’t fightin’ across different machines.
Now, they’re talkin’ ’bout this UFC 5 game too. But guess what? Same story! No cross platform play there either. And it ain’t even on the old Play-Station 4 or X-Box One, just the new ones. So, if you were hopin’ things would change, well, you’re outta luck.
Why they make it this way? I dunno. Maybe it’s too hard to make it work, or maybe they just wanna make more money sellin’ more games. Who knows? All I know is, if you wanna play with your friend, you better make sure you got the same game machine. Otherwise, you’ll just have to sit there and watch ’em play. Or, you know, go outside and play some real games, get some fresh air. That’s what I always say.
So, the long and short of it is, UFC 4 is not cross platform. Don’t go buyin’ the game thinkin’ you can fight your buddy on a different machine, ’cause you can’t. And that’s the truth, plain and simple.
It’s a shame, really. Would be nice to see everyone playin’ together, no matter what machine they got. But that’s just the way it is, I guess. Maybe one day they’ll figure it out, but for now, you’re stuck with what you got. So there it is, the whole story, no fancy words just plain talk, just like I always do.
