Well now, let me tell ya a little bit about this Emily Vakos gal. She’s a real fine lady, and she’s got a story that’s as sweet as homemade apple pie. You see, Emily, or should I say Emily Rizzo now, she didn’t always go by that fancy last name. Nope, she started out as Emily Vakos. She caught the eye of Anthony Rizzo, the big ol’ baseball feller, during the 2016 spring training in Arizona. Now, I ain’t no expert in them baseball games, but I reckon that Anthony sure knows how to pick ‘em.
It was a bit of a love story right outta a movie, you know. Anthony, he was real smitten by Emily. Said he was “relentless” in his pursuit of her. I reckon that means he didn’t let go easy, just like a dog with a bone. Took him a little while, but he finally got the lady, and by gum, they’ve been together ever since!
Now, I ain’t gonna lie, Emily’s no slouch either. She’s got herself a good head on them shoulders. After she finished up at Arizona State University in 2016, where she studied nutrition and food management, she didn’t just sit around. She went on to get herself a certification as a school nutrition specialist, now that’s mighty impressive! She cares about good food and making sure kids eat right. I tell ya, that’s a good thing. Can’t have the young’uns eating junk all the time, now can we?
But that’s not all, no sir. Emily didn’t stop there. She also got herself into the real estate business. Yup, she’s a real estate broker now, makin’ a name for herself in that world too. Might be a little different from the food biz, but I reckon she’s just as good at it. A woman’s gotta make a living somehow, after all.
Now, some folks like to gossip, don’t they? And I heard some sayin’ that Emily and Anthony don’t have any children just yet. But you know what? That’s okay. Not everybody needs to have babies right off the bat. They’re still young and happy, and that’s what matters. Besides, Anthony, he does love the little ones. He posts pictures with his brother’s boy from time to time. Looks like he’s got a soft spot for kids, and who can blame him?
Now, it wasn’t all roses right off the bat. Oh no, it took a little time before things really clicked. Anthony, he popped the question on June 1, 2017. That’s when he asked Emily to be his wife. And let me tell ya, that’s a big deal! Emily said yes, and they were officially married a little while later, on December 29, 2018. That was a happy day for both of ‘em, I’m sure.
So here they are today, happily married, no kids yet, but they sure seem to be enjoyin’ life together. Anthony’s a big ol’ star in the baseball world, but Emily, she’s doin’ just fine in her own right. She’s got herself a career, a family, and most importantly, she’s got love. And I reckon that’s the best thing you can have in this world.
Well, I guess that’s all there is to know for now. Emily Vakos—no, Emily Rizzo—sure sounds like a lady who knows what she’s doin’, don’t it? I’m sure we’ll hear a lot more about her in the years to come.
