Well, let me tell ya, this whole thing started back in 2018, when Paige VanZant, poor girl, broke her arm real bad. She was fighting Jessica-Rose Clark at UFC Fight Night 124, and during the fight, she landed a spinning back fist—fancy name for a punch, I reckon—but it didn’t quite go as planned. Next thing ya know, she’s got a broken forearm! Now, I ain’t no doctor, but I seen enough to know that don’t sound good, not one bit.
She didn’t even wait ‘til the fight was over to tell folks, no ma’am. Right after the first round, Paige told her corner that her arm was busted. Can you imagine that? Fighting with a broken arm. Most people wouldn’t be able to move their pinky if they broke something, but not Paige. She kept right on going, using only one arm, fighting like a true warrior. That girl’s tougher than a two-dollar steak, I’ll tell ya that.
Now, y’all probably wondering how she kept going. Well, between rounds, she must’ve been in some kind of pain, but Paige didn’t let it show much. They say in them UFC fights, you gotta be tough. You can’t just be a crybaby when things get rough. And that’s what Paige did—she fought on through the hurt, and finished that fight, arm or no arm. Now, that takes guts, don’t it?
But that wasn’t the end of it. She kept on coming back, fight after fight. People thought she might hang up the gloves after that, but no, not Paige! She came back stronger than ever. And let me tell you, when she came back, her paychecks got a whole lot bigger. Over in BKFC (that’s Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, for them who don’t know), she started earning more money than she ever did in UFC. She was raking in about $400,000 a fight! That’s more money than most of us will see in a lifetime, and she’s getting it for just showing up and fighting!
Folks around here, we talk about money sometimes, but we sure ain’t ever seen that kinda cash. But Paige, well, she’s living the dream, no doubt about it. And she ain’t just earning in the ring either. Paige has other ways of making money, too. From social media endorsements to TV spots, that girl knows how to keep herself busy and make a dollar. She’s 30 now, still young, still fighting, still making waves. Ain’t no stopping her, that’s for sure.
But let’s not forget what made her so special in the first place—the way she kept on fighting through all that pain. Most folks would’ve folded up and gone home, but Paige? She’s tougher than most. And folks still remember that fight against Jessica-Rose Clark, where she kept punching with a broken arm. That’s what legends are made of, if you ask me.
So, if you ask me about Paige VanZant, well, I’d say she’s a fighter through and through. She’s had her ups and downs, no doubt about it, but she’s always kept coming back. And I reckon she’ll keep coming back for as long as she can, ‘cause that’s just who she is—someone who doesn’t give up, no matter what life throws at her. And that’s something we could all learn from, don’t ya think?
