Alright, so today I wanna talk about getting the stuff needed for Seth in Zenless. Been working on him lately, trying to get him beefed up, you know? It’s always a bit of a process figuring out where everything drops.
First thing I did, obviously, was pop open Seth’s character screen. Went straight to the level up and the skills, or ‘Core Passive’, ‘Special Attack’ tabs, whatever they call ’em. Needed to see exactly what junk he required. Made a quick mental list, mostly those blueish crystal things, some specific monster drops that looked like gears or something, and of course, loads of Dennies. Always need Dennies.

Hitting the Basics First
My usual grind starts with the daily stuff. So, I jumped into the commissions first. Knocked those out sharpish. They give you a decent pile of general currency and sometimes those basic EXP materials for characters or W-Engines. Easy stuff, gets you warmed up.
Then, I checked the Assignment section in the agency. Picked up anything that offered materials I thought might be useful, or at least gave good general rewards. Gotta maximize that Battery Charge usage, right?
Target Farming Specific Junk
Okay, for the character-specific bits, like those ascension items – the ones with Seth’s face or element symbol on them – I had to hit the specific dungeons. What are they, Hollow Deep Dives or something? I forget the exact names, but you know the ones. Checked the reward previews for each stage. Found the one dropping Seth’s particular flavor of upgrade chip.
This part’s a grind, no lie. Had to burn through my Battery Charge running those stages over and over. Sometimes you get a good haul, sometimes you get practically nothing. Just gotta keep plugging away at it. I usually do these until I run out of the daily energy.
For the common monster parts, the ones needed for both leveling and skills, I kinda just played through various combat commissions and sometimes went back to specific story stages where I remembered fighting those particular enemy types. The game usually tells you where to find ’em if you click on the material icon. So, I just went there, beat ’em up, collected the drops. Rinse and repeat.
Other Ways I Grabbed Stuff
Didn’t forget the shops either. Popped into Granny’s stall, checked the exchange shop. Sometimes you can buy a limited amount of materials using the different currencies you earn from missions or selling junk. Didn’t rely on this heavily, but it helped top up a few things when I was just short.

Also kept half an eye on any events running. Sometimes they chuck materials at you just for doing event stages or challenges. Definitely worth doing if the rewards line up with what you need and the event isn’t a total chore.
The Whole Process Put Together
So, basically, my routine looked like this:
- Logged in, did daily commissions right away.
- Checked and completed any useful agency assignments.
- Spent most of my Battery Charge spamming the specific Hollow Deep Dive that dropped Seth’s ascension materials.
- If I still needed common monster drops, I’d run some combat commissions or replay old stages known to have those enemies.
- Checked the shops for any quick buys.
- Did event stuff if it offered relevant materials.
It took a good few days of doing this consistently. Nothing super complicated, mostly just time and repetition, burning through that energy. Finally got enough piled up to get Seth over his current level hurdle and pump up a couple of his key skills. Felt pretty good seeing those numbers jump.
So yeah, that was my method for gathering Seth’s materials. Pretty straightforward, just gotta put the time in. Hope sharing my run-through helps someone else trying to build him up.
