Okay, so I’ve been hyped about Fallout London, like everyone else. Finally got around to installing it, fired it up, got through the initial menu stuff, chose my background, and bam! Right after the train sequence, the whole thing just crashes to desktop. No error message, nothing. Just…gone.
First thing I did, like any sane person, was restart my computer. You know, the classic “turn it off and on again” trick. Nope. Still crashed at the same spot.

Then I started messing with the graphics settings. I figured maybe my rig couldn’t handle the fancy new visuals. I lowered everything down to potato quality, turned off all the extra effects, even went down a resolution. Still crashing after that train.
- Turned down texture quality.
- Disabled V-Sync.
- Reduced shadow distance.
- Even tried windowed mode.
Nothing worked
Next, I checked my mods. Maybe I’d installed something that was conflicting with Fallout London. I have few, so I disabled everything except the Fallout London stuff itself. Still crashing.
Digging Deeper (and Feeling Dumb)
At this point, I’m getting frustrated. I’m starting to think, “Maybe my download was corrupted?” So, I go and re-verify the Fallout London files. It took a while, but it seemed to fix the problem.
So, lesson learned: If you’re like me and jumping into a new game or big mod, and find that Fallout London crashing after train, start simple. Verify your files, Double-check everything before you start tweaking a million settings. Save yourself a headache!
