Okay, so I’ve had this Changli for a while now, and the floor mats? Totally basic. Like, the cheapest carpet you can imagine. They were already looking rough, and I knew I needed to do something.
First, I took out the old mats. No brainer, right? They weren’t attached or anything, just kinda sitting there. Gave the floor a quick vacuum, because, you know, crumbs and stuff.

The Hunt for New Mats
I spent a good afternoon looking at options. I wanted something that would fit a ChangLi. Then, it came to me. I decided on a set of rubber * I ordered these:
- Easy to clean: I can just hose them off.
- Durable: They should last way longer than the carpet ones.
- Look better: Okay, maybe not “luxury,” but definitely an upgrade.
Installation (aka Putting Them In)
The new mats arrived, and guess what? They, so I needed to modify them. I got the old mats, and I put them over the new ones to use a template. I grabbed a marker and drew the lines on the new rubber mats. Then, I used a cutter to cut out the excess rubber.
I put the modified mats in, and boom! Instant improvement. They fit perfectly, they look way better, and I’m not worried about messing them up.
Seriously, if you have a Changli, do this. It’s such a simple thing, but it makes a big difference. My little electric car feels much better now.
