Okay, so I’ve been grinding away at Wuthering Waves, and like everyone else, I’ve been staring long and hard at the Battle Pass, specifically those weapon choices. Let me tell you, it’s been a journey figuring out which one to snag. First, I spent a solid evening just reading every single weapon description. I mean, really reading them, trying to decipher the stats and what would actually be useful for my team.
Initial Research and Confusion
My initial thought was, “Just grab the one that looks coolest!” Big mistake. Turns out, looks can be deceiving. I started by jotting down the names of all five weapons on a piece of paper. I don’t know, I’m just a little old school and use pen to record.

Detailed Process of Elimination
- Sword: Seemed like a safe bet, you know, swords are classic. I figured I could use a sword, and it sounded like a decent all-around option.
- Broadblade: I’ve been messing around with the broadblade characters, but that crit rate stat had me second-guessing. I played a battle with my Broadblade character for testing. Felt good, but not amazing.
- Pistols: I have no idea how to use pistols. So I tried out a few pistol characters and immediately felt super awkward. My aim was all over the place, and I just couldn’t get the hang of the playstyle.
- Gauntlets: These sounded punchy and fun. I tested with my character, but feels limited.
- Scepter: This one had some energy regen, and I have a character that is energy hungry, this option keeps jumping into my eyes.
My Choice!
After the testing and playing, I started crossing off the weapons I knew I wouldn’t use much. The pistols were the first to go. Then the Broadblade, even though, I eliminated it because I just didn’t see myself using it. The Sword was okay. Finally, I am struggling to choose between Gauntlets and Scepter. I really don’t want to make a mistake! I flipped a coin. Seriously, I flipped a coin! Heads for Scepter, tails for Gauntlets. It landed on heads. Scepter it is! My energy hungry character, rejoice! My fingers clicked to select and claim it.
So, that’s my saga of choosing a Battle Pass weapon in Wuthering Waves. It was way more involved than I expected, but hey, at least I (hopefully) made a good choice. Now, back to grinding!
