Okay, so I’ve been trying to get Wuthering Waves to run at a smooth 120 FPS on my PC. It’s been a bit of a journey, so I figured I’d share what I did, what worked, and what didn’t.
First Attempts
My initial thought was, “Hey, I’ve got a pretty decent rig, it should be able to handle it.” Boy, was I a little optimistic. I jumped into the game, went straight to the settings, and… no 120 FPS option. Just the usual suspects: 30, 60. Bummer.

Diving into Forums
So, naturally, I hit the forums. I figured someone else must have figured this out, right? I found a bunch of threads, some suggesting config file tweaks, others talking about third-party tools. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest.
Experimenting with Config Files
I decided to start with the config file tweaks. I found the file, made a backup (always make a backup!), and started messing with the settings. Changed some values that looked like they were related to frame rate, launched the game… and nothing. Still capped at 60. Tried a few different combinations, still no luck.
The Third-Party Tool Route
Feeling a bit defeated, I started looking into the third-party tools people were mentioning. I’m usually a bit hesitant about these, but I was getting desperate. I found one that seemed pretty popular and, after scanning it with like three different antivirus programs (better safe than sorry!), I gave it a shot.
I have to changed some values on the tool, because It’s show me 30, 60, 120, so I just choose 120.
Success (Kind Of)
Launched the game, and… it worked! I was getting close to 120 FPS. It wasn’t perfect, there were some occasional dips, but it was a huge improvement. I played around with some in-game settings, lowering a few things here and there, and managed to get it pretty stable. Finally finished!
- Backup: Don’t forget backup anything!
- Check carefully: Always checking the setting values.
- Be patient: Don’t give up trying.
So, that’s my story. It wasn’t as straightforward as I hoped, but I got there in the end. It’s awesome. If you’re trying to do the same, hopefully, this helps a bit. Good luck!
