Okay, so I was super hyped about the new Genshin Impact update and wanted to jump in right away. But, as usual, there was server maintenance. My biggest question was: when will Genshin server maintenance end CST? I needed to plan my day, you know?
So, first thing I did was hit up Google. I searched for “Genshin Impact maintenance schedule” and stuff like that. It took a bit of digging, but I finally found some info.
Figuring Out the Time Zones
- The official announcement said the maintenance would start at 6:00 AM and end at 11:00 AM (UTC+8) on November 20, 2024.
- Now, I’m in the CST zone, I use to figure out the time difference.
- Turns out, UTC+8 is 14 hours ahead of CST.
I did the simple math. If maintenance ends at 11:00 AM UTC+8, that means it’ll be done at 9:00 PM CST the day before,November 19,2024. Also, since they said it’d take about 5 hours, I calculated the start time here would be around 4:00 PM CST.
I was kept my eye on the clock and checked the game around 9:00 PM. And… boom! It was up and running. I also found some messages talk about 300 Primogems. Looks like the compensation for the downtime,Nice!
So yeah, that’s how I figured out the maintenance end time. A little bit of time zone wrangling, but totally worth it to get back to Teyvat!
