Okay, let’s dive into how I tackled the “Break the Chains that Bind Scylla” quest in Genshin Impact.
So, I stumbled upon this quest, and I was like, “Okay, Scylla, chains… sounds dramatic. Let’s do this!” I started by, you know, actually finding the quest. I think it was out in that new underwater area? Yeah it was.
First up, I swam around a bit, checking out the scenery, and, more importantly, looking for clues. I found this big, chained-up… thing. It was pretty obvious that was Scylla.
Breaking the First Chain
The first chain was guarded by some of those annoying underwater creatures. You know the kind – the ones that shoot those weird projectile things? Yeah, those guys. So, I whipped out my trusty Hydro character and started blasting. It was a bit of a back-and-forth, dodging their attacks and using my skills. I focused on the ones closest to the chain mechanism first. After some intense aquatic combat, I defeated them all.
With the enemies cleared, I could finally interact with the chain thingy. It had this puzzle, where I had to align some glowing orbs. I fiddled with it for a bit, rotating them this way and that. Finally, click, it unlocked! One chain down.
Onto the Second Chain
The second chain was a bit trickier. This time, the puzzle involved these musical… plant… things. I had to hit them in a specific order, using my attacks. There were some hints nearby, showing the sequence. So, I followed the pattern, whack, whack, whack… and boom, the second chain was broken!

The Final Chain!
The last chain, oh boy. This one had a mini-boss fight. It was one of those big, crab-like creatures. It had a shield, so I had to break that first. I used a character with strong attacks. I dodged its slams and claws, waiting for an opening to strike. After a bit of a struggle, I managed to break its shield and then unleashed all my strongest attacks. It went down, and the final chain was free!
With all three chains broken, Scylla was finally free! There was some dialogue, and I got my rewards. Honestly, it was pretty satisfying to see those chains shatter. Another quest completed!
